Love The Roots but that ChestnuTT guy reminds me a little too much of Lenny Kravitz.

I can't stand Bone Thugs. Every song sounds the same and they're too gimmicky.

I really like the rhymes man, but they jacked Backdoor Man for that beat. Maybe I'm just auditorily hallucinating though.

Still, Early 90's rap >>> modern rap.

That's right up there among the best hip hop songs ever and a personal favourite of mine. The beat is great and I love how Rock samples the horn. Gives it a real jazz vibe. And of course Smooth's lyrics are so emotional and heartfelt, that you can't help but empathize with him.

Keeping with the 90's theme, here's a song that basically launched Busta Rhymes' solo career:

A+++ - My favorite Eminem song. This is one of the most creative songs I've ever listened to. The video goes well with the song and I like at the end how Stan's spirit is still watching Eminem when he says "Damn."

    My favorite Pac song:

It's not my favorite Pac song, but I like the idea behind it. It was really unique at the time it came out, and I'm sure erveryone can relate to it's message, but still.

    New Song:

    Will Smith - Summertime

^A - Classic. I don't even really **** with Will Smith songs that much, but this might be one of the most played hip-hop songs of all-time.

    Here's the video code:

    [<font color=""black"">y</font>outube]6dWlFTZGNK0[/youtube<font color=""black"">] </font>

    You just type <div><object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/), then end it with <font color=""black"">[</font>/youtube].

    As for the song:

This was the first time I've heard this. Everything I've heard from Lupe so far has been good stuff though. I can see why there's so much hype. This really had a cool early 90's feel to it (probably because of Jill Scott's hook).

    New Song:

Wyclef's verse was nice (hard to hear in the video), but Hill's hook made me love this song. So catchy.

Method Man - Release Yo' Delf (the hook is censored... kinda makes it less funny)

The chick's hook was pretty annoying to me, and I couldn't really get a lot of the lyrics, because they were a bit nonsensical, but it had a nice sound to it.

That's an A. Even though it's like the worst song on that album, It's still an awesome song. Black Thought is one of my favorite MCs, but I don't like a lot of the stuff the Roots have been putting out lately. Things Fall Apart was the last album from them that I really got into.

It's got a real raw, dark sound to it with the beat. But, the lyrics are what makes it stand out. The 3rd verse, in particular, was great.
