why the hell does he play darko when 1. he sucks, 2. he's obviously tired as hell, and 3. you have dwight howard on the bench with only 2 fouls?
Isn't your team first in the east? I don't think firing your head coach would be a good idea, but that's just me.
I've been on the fire Brian Hill bandwagon for awhile. Darko is playing bad, but we needed to give Dwight a rest, so that's why he was in and he blocked a couple of shots or at least changed a couple of shots.
Yeah, that **** was horrible. B Hill cost us the game. Darko stopped jumping, could barely make it across half-court, and he stayed in for 6 minutes in the fourth quarter, and then came back out again later in the quarter.
Brian Hill isn't the best coach in the world but I don't think we should fire him. He has our team playing pretty good right now and our great start has given us some cushion during these slumps. If we did fire Hill, who would you guys want to replace him? Larry Brown is available but let's be realistic, he would never come coach here.

I'm just tired of scratching my head at our substitution patterns and play calls. It just baffles me that we can go at least 5 minutes in the game with only giving your superstar one touch. I don't know if anyone notices other than me, but when we go through these stretches, Dwight isn't as aggressive grabbing the boards. He needs to be active on the offensive end to be effective in the game. Also it pisses me off when Grant Hill is in the game and we go a good 4-5 possessions without giving him a touch. He is our best scorer and he is a playmaker. He will put the ball in people's hands in the right spots on the court. It also baffles me how after a TO the best shot we can get is a Keyon Dooling jump shot with around 10 seconds left on the shot clock. It's more frustration then anything that I feel that Brian Hill has cost us AT LEAST 4-5 of our losses with spotty substitutions/play calling.

<div class="quote_poster">MickyEyez Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">i agree with you here swish... why would brown never coach in orlando?</div> Because the chances of Brown returning to coach in general is pretty slim right now and if he did come back, he would probably want to return to the Sixers. I doubt he would just wake up one day and say, "Man, I really want to coach the Magic." He's never been involved with our organization before and I can't see him coming out of retirement to randomly coach our team.

He is responsible for shattering this kid's confidence during his rookie season.

<div class="quote_poster">d-money12 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">lol...did you by any chance read my entire response?</div> Yeah that's interesting about the club. The big knock on Darko has always been his desire and work ethic so that honestly doesn't suprise me. He doesn't seem to have the determination that Dwight has which is sad because he could be a good player in this league if he was 100% dedicated.

What's worse to hear is he driving around drunk at 1am in the morning. This is common place for a lot of young players, and they don't realize until later in their careers how much they screwed up. At the same time, it's hard to criticize them, because there's tremendous temptation to go out and party when you're young, rich and famous.

He bitched and bitched and bitched about not getting any playing time in Detroit; I think Larry Brown is finally exonerated. I hope he gets a DUI charge, gets suspended from the team, because it might do him a world of good. (Plus it might lower his stock and make teams offer him less)
<div class="quote_poster">Chuck Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">We should hire Fratello!!</div> Go for it. That guy's one of the worst coaches in the NBA. Ever since '93, he's been like the bizarro King Midas - everything he touches turns into a flaming pile of dog ****. Even when Gasol went down, he still insisted on running the Grizzlies' offensive sets through the four spot, where Hakim Warrick was obviously not ready to handle the responsibilities. And he's a complete asshole off the court. Most players can't stand his guts. In 2003, the Grizzlies were one of the best teams in the league, but Fratello started to bench guys just because he felt they weren't giving him enough respect and started to sit streaky players like Jason Williams on the bench right when they were starting to heat up, just to make a statement. The next thing you know, the whole club is in turmoil and almost every single player had to be shipped away for half of what they were worth. He's got a total Napoleon complex that way. I know the Magic don't have the type of overpowering personalities that the '03 Grizzlies did, but still, it doesn't take much for players to get peeved with a guy like Fratello. He just wasn't cut out for coaching in the NBA. Maybe the NCAA is his thing.
