I would like to take this opportunity to voice my opinion on these two pricks. Lebron James is not the next Michael Jordan, neither is the other prick who was chosen after Chris Bosh. The reason he won the title, is because the NBA was fixed in the finals. It was obvious. While they are both great players obviously, they are each others viagara. I don't know how many of you here love these two, but I am sorry for 'hating' on your 'boys', but in my opinion they both think they can be the next MJ and it is not happening.

lebron james is the next lebron james.. there will never be a next MJ for 2 reasons 1) Way more talent and athletes playing basketball since the mj era and 2) Someone will always bring something different to the table

if anybody is the next mj.. its def kobe without a doubt..if it wasnt for the rape charges he would be making more off endorsements than playin ball

It's quite simple, no real long explanation needed. The reason these two will not be the next Michael Jordan is because they're birth certificates say so.

I've never heard LeBron say he's the next Jordan. The only way saying it are other people. [IMG]

I think it's because we just played LeBron and the Cavs and he smoked us.

Regarding the whole Jordan comparison thing, I don't think LeBron is the next Jordan but he is definitely a remarkable athlete who will leave his mark on this game. He is a very good player who will be remembered as one of the best. It's unfair for any guy to have to live up to Jordan comparisons because nobody is ever going to do what MJ did for the game. With that said, I don't think LeBron and Wade are each others Viagra but rather Stern's Viagra. [IMG]

Dwyane Wade is ruining the game of basketball, as was in my sig for a month or so. I really want to like him, and would if it weren't for one thing:

    * Holds the NBA record for most free throws made in an NBA Finals game with 21. (June 18th, 2006 vs. Dallas Mavericks)

    * Holds the NBA record for most free throws made in a six-game NBA Finals series with 75. [1] [2]

    * Holds the NBA record for most free throws attempted in a six-game NBA Finals series with 97. [3] [4]

Sure Wade is aggressive and takes a beating, but 16 FT's yesterday. It's starting to get ridiculous how much leeway he gets when he drives.

Heh, it's amazing but you Orlando people spotted the same injustices in the 06 Finals as I. Nice job.

I'm sure none of that has to do with the fact that he drives relentlessly to the basket and knows how to draw contact. He killed the Lakers oon the line today, and all the fouls were completely legit. Quit being a whiny bitch. It's impossible to compare the two to Jordan because they play in different eras with different talent around them.

Well, today I'm not so sure about, I'll give you that one (because it was a very boring game and I wasn't paying attention). The Finals are another matter.

If you're all going to hate on Wade for getting calls, hate on Bron and Kobe too, as they both get their fair share (despite taking far more jump shots than Wade).

Yeah I'm certainly not just singling Wade out. I hate the superstar treatment that everyone is getting. Kobe, Lebron, and Wade are the 3 worst though.

It's not the same thing, and I've discussed this already in various threads. The Finals were unpleasing to watch. If Kobe and Bron had gotten that kind of treatment in the Finals, that would be ruining the game. Ending championship games on phantom calls is gross. Hmm, I guess in a way you're right. Officials should let the players play in the Finals.

16 trips to the line per game, during the finals is insane...it's amazing how much the refs are in love with him...the same reason i hate his guts...he is getting treated as if he is MJ or something...t-mac was better than wade when t-mac was in orlando, and he never got those calls, for christs sake, AI doesnt get those calls, who has been around for a decade now...its just amazing how biased the refs are these days

I am singling Wade out. Kobe and LeBron get special treatment, too, indeed, but that comes with the territory. If Wade got the same as them, there'd be no problem. Yeah, Wade drives a lot more than most, but for every one or two good fouls he drawns when driving, he gets a BS foul that not even Jordan deserves.

I never thought I would be as angry about crappy foul calls as I was when Szczerbiak got called those fouls against the Lakers, but then I watched the Finals last year.

Last year's playoffs were amazing up until the finals. Best in recent history... except for the finals.

I don't know about T-Mac being better than Wade. He settled for way too many jumpshots.

You're right about the insanity of 16.67 a game in the finals though. If anybody deserves those calls, it's AI, another good call.

It seems like from last years finals and this year, the refs reached an all time low.

By the way, you know how many free throws Michael Jordan averaged in the playoffs?

    9.86!!!!!!!!!

Just because Wade gets to the line, doesn't mean the refs love him. Wade gets to the line because he drives in the lane and also gets in contact with people. I don't even seem him flopping. He really gets hurt. As for LeBron the next Jordan. NO. Jordan was the next Jordan. LeBron is the next LeBron. Wade is the next Wade. Carmelo is the next Carmelo. The only thing I hear about LeBron is that he's the chosen one which I have to agree. The man puts up stats like nothing. Wade is a winner. No need to hate on him or his game. He has a championship which most players only dream of getting.
