Sorry, but Wade does get special treatement. Go back and watch the finals, the officiating was a disgrace.
He got to the line because he drove in the paint and got contact by Dampier and Diop. Yeah he prob. did flop but who doesn't?? It doesn't matter because he has a ring and many great players don't and he did it primarily by himself.
Stars get special treatment. Blame the refs for that, not Wade. It's most noticeable for Wade, because he does as good a job as any star taking advantage of it. He's constantly attacking the basket and initiating contact. He's pretty good at exxagerating the contact he receives as well (call it cheap if you like, but if it works why shouldn't he do it?). Other than maybe Iverson, no one works harder at getting to the line than Wade.

I'll highlight game 5 as an example of horrible officiating. Wade did get a bunch of calls, and it's not ok just because other stars get special treatment. Championships shouldn't be decided by imaginary fouls.

I only continued responding because that Clos guy cursed (which the mods edited out) and it motivated me for some reason. </div> Actually, my picture post was directed at the original thread creator. I had not really read anything in the thread other than that. I didn't really feel there was any counter argument needed. Dwyane Wade led his team in scoring in the finals averaging over 30 points a game, while Shaq was held to under 20 a night. Although, Shaq obviously drew a lot of attention and opened things up for everyone. To say that Wade doesn't deserve his title, or anything remotley related to that statement, is crazy. As far as Lebron goes how you can even under mine what he has done at his age is beyond me. To wrap it up quickly, let me just say, if either of these two players wore a Magic uniform this thread would not exist.

As for Wade, I think he's a great Player (top 5) and put up great stats, but got some unfair calls in a championship series. That's all really.
A perfect example of Kobe not getting favoritism was yesterday?s game. With the Lakers down by 2, Kobe was called for an off the ball foul on the in bound pass and the result was Sacramento shooting a foul shot and getting the ball back with 4 seconds left. Didn't seem like much favoritism for Kobe with that terrible call being made on him...but wait...superstars get all the calls right?! Kevin Martin a 90% ft shooter missed the foul shot and the Lakers tied it up and won the game in ot. Don't be upset just because Wade and Lebron attack the basket and get fouled alot. Not their fault that they can't be stopped...or in Lebrons case it's not even a stop because most of the time the shot goes in as he's getting fouled. I?m sure the game would be a lot more exciting if Lebron and Wade were not in the league. We could watch the Spurs post up Duncan every play in the 4th?.it would be so much fun to watch?.or not.

Not that it matter at this point but I dislike Wade. Not so much 'Bron though, as his calls aren't as bad as Wades. Wade also acts in a cocky manner, which I also dislike when coupled with his calls. Wade fans don't help when they avoid/defend him for the abomination of what the NBA calls, The 2006 Finals. Everytime Wade plays I always think of that movie The 6th Man, because some ghostly/phantom acts always seem to happen whenever he plays.
