ok, so since we only have a second rounder this year because we traded out first rounder, top 5 protected to the pistons last year for darko and carlos...and we probably won't be trading for a 1st round pick, what are the best steals in the past decade of the second round, and let's see what we can get...steals that come to mind in from this past 10 years are gilbert arenas carlos boozer cuttino mobley michael redd AND OF COURSE THE INEVITABLE: <font size=""7""> GOD
Arenas and Redd are the big ones, I don't think anyone expected them to develop into superstars. Another guy is Manu Ginobili. He was picked second to last by the Spurs in 1999 and he has suprised a lot of people. Rashard Lewis, Stephen Jackson, Rafer Alston, and Mehmet Okur were all second round steals as well. Right now, we have Travis Diener and Trevor Ariza, two of the greatest players of all time who were each selected in the second round. If this isn't enough motivation for Otis to go out and trade for a second round pick then I don't know what is.

Greatest what, 50? 100? Neither have really proven much.

Or free throws. Or anything at all dammit, I hate you Darko. Who else did we leave unprotected? Was Gaines protected? We protected Andrew Declercq over Zaza, for the love of God.
DeClercq. I remember that scum. Anyways, yeah Diener and Ariza are solid for being 2nd rounders, but they aren't one of the best. We should be able to get a solid player. We haven't even used our 2nd rounder(Augustine). I mean we might as well. Darko sucks anyways. Zaza is so nasty. I want him back. He avgs. some nice #s.
Ask Swish or anyone, Zaza was my favorite player the year we had him and I was so livid when we protected Andrew Declerq over him. Declerq is a Gator, that just shows how much I loved Zaza.
