I was expecting this. Thorn is a type of GM who will try everything until he finds out what is needed. I like that but I think after this, he should look to trade for a big man. I would give up RJ, a few bench players, and a first round pick for Kevin Garnett. Kidd and Garnett are both players who are getting older and they want tings more than anything at this moment of their careers so I wouldn't really be surprised to see KG in a Nets uniform before the trade deadline. I also wouldn't be surprised to see Lawrence Frank fired. Hopefully Rod Thorn will find a good coach to replace him like Rick Adelmen rather than just giving the position to an assistant coach. We'll see how things go tonight against the Pistons. Hopefully someone could be close to the player that Nenad was.

Just because he did a good job with the Kings doesn't mean that he will work for us. With him as the coach, I expect us to run like the Suns. That means more offense and little defense. The problem is the Suns can out shoot a team without having to play extra hard defense, while the Nets don't have the same offensive weapons. A lot of blame is going on Frank, and he might deserve some but not all. Is it his fault Carter is inconsistent? Is it his fault Nenad went down? We can't just hire a coach because he looks good. A lot of consideration needs to be taken into account.

He reminds me of Mike D'antoni and I think Adelman will be a great fit for our team. Look at what he did to the Kings a few years ago. I wan't the Nets to play like that and I think he is capable of doing that. I didn't put all of the blame on Frank. I know it's not his fault for Vince and Krstic, but a great coach would know what to do in a position like this and he isn't doing much. Adelman is the only good coach without a job right now, besides Larry Brown, but with Brown the rookies won't be able to play much.

Bottomline. If no major changes happen before or on the trading deadline, I think it's safe to say that the Nets are done for the season. With the way things are handled, I'd rather see Jason Kidd traded to a contending team. I know it's a long shot, but there's no harm in dreaming, Kidd to Miami? The Nets right now is a ship slowly sinking. At this point, I don't think their looking to win. It's a matter of playing it out and wait till they transfer to brooklyn. If it's that the case, their cheating the game and most importantly, their cheating the fans. Maybe it's time to bail out. Why should the fans care about a team where the owner's themselves don't care.
Who would Miami offer to the Nets? Walker + Posey + 1st rounder or Walker + JWill + 1st rounder? PG: Jason Williams/Marcus Williams/Eddie House SG: Vince Carter/Adams SF: Richard Jefferson/Antoine Wright PF: Antoine Walker/Boone C: Nenad Krstic/Collins/Moore Heat: pg: Jason Kidd/Gary Payton SG: Dwayne Wade/Kapono SF: Dorell Wright/James Posey PF: Haslem/Simien C: Shaq/Zo I'm not sure if it would be worth it for the Heat, just because they don't have much depth at PF, and it would also rely on Wright to be continue to play well.
If the Nets are in the direction of rebuilding, Miami might not have to give up that much. Maybe Kidd for Walker (or Wright), Payton and a 1st rounder? Well like I said, it's a long shot. But imagine Shaq, Wade and Kidd together. That would be a sick combo.
