I'm guessing many of the shoppers aren't back yet, but anybody here go boxing day shopping? I find it not worth the lineups and hassle. The last time I went was about three years ago and came back with an MD Player, which I ended up returning. Edit: For those in the US, it's similar to the sales on Black Friday and Thanksgiving Weekend.
I went to Future Shop at 7am this morning and had to stand outside for 15 minutes before being let in. Picked up a Samsung 19" widescreen LCD monitor for $199, black and white laser printer for $49, 2 512MB memory sticks for $6 each, a router + adaptor for $10, and a 250GB external hard drive for $99. Ended up costing me $500 before mail in rebates. Went to Square One this afternoon but was disgusted by the masses there. Some great deals at Foot Locker though, a few Jordans for $99, and the Jordan XXI's were just $135. Didn't pick up any though...

I was supposed to go to Square 1 today with my friends but I'm still horribly sick. I was planning to buy new gear mostly, nothing technology related, but if I had seen that deal I would have bought like 3 or 4 of them and kept one for myself while selling the rest later on. Did you see any mp3 players for cheap?? If so, how cheap? And yeah, Sq.1 must have been loaded today.
Oh I didnt know you guys had Boxing Day aswell, I always thought it was just an Australian thing. Anyway, I went, I bought a Zoo York t-shirt and a pair of jeans for AU$70 or somthing like that. Real bargain.
I just got a 1GB memory chip for my PSP for $50. I was gonna buy Madden but they didn't have it at the store.
I actually paid $13.99 for them, but there's a $8 mail-in rebate. Almost everyone I saw in the store had at least one in their hands. It's a good deal. It's Memorex too, not some no-name brand. To be fair though, the price isn't really that special. 1GB ones often go on sale for $20 now. There was one Asian guy who was paying before me, and he had just two memory sticks, nothing else. Must have lined up for 20 minutes just to get in the store! Btw, Karma, I'll sell one of those memory sticks to you. $12? <div class="quote_poster">Swish15 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I just got a 1GB memory chip for my PSP for $50. I went to the mall today but only to get a belt and a Christmas present for my dad. I didn't like any of th belts I saw (why the hell don't they make any normal woven belts made of LEATHER any more? I don't want any of this plasticy crap.) and got my dad a $25 gift card to BJ's Brewhouse. It didn't look any busier today than it has on most of the weekends in December. I personally don't think there was any very good deals out there, Black Friday is cool though if you want to get some great deals and don't mind the struggle of actually shopping that day.

When I went to Square One (mall) it took me 30 minutes to find a parking spot.
I went shopping for stuff for my new place...basically needed everything, furniture, kitchen stuff, bath stuff..lighting spent 1300 in total and of that i think maybe 200 of it was on sale..... so ya, i didnt notice any big difference from pre christmas prices real bummer
Well right now, here in Manhattan, there really isn't a day where shopping isn't ridiculous. Prices are basically the same.
