I've been away for the holidays and haven't really been following GS, but I read that Monta went down against the heat (undercut by Posey) and he was on the floor for several minutes writhing in pain [IMG] Does anyone have an injury update on the status of Monta, because I can't seem to find anything. Was it a serious injury? I've been chanting my Monta Mantra: "please be healthy, please be healthy!"

well, I just found this off the ESPN injury wire:

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Ellis injured his right shoulder Saturday night with x-rays ruling out any dislocations, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.</div>

No dislocation is a VERY good thing, because that's one injury that could linger for a whole career. Good news on that front, but I wonder why it didn't also rule out a fracture?

Warriors are becoming really thin right now with all these injuries. And the feud between a healthy Diogu and Nelson doesn't help. I heard that Nelson says Diogu blames others for mistakes he makes on the court which is why he doesn't play him much.

    Here is one: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/sfgate...&entry_id=12105

It also says that Zarko is out for the season. So much anticipation for that guy. What a pity.</div>

Ironic how even the most injury prone guy on our team (Baron Davis) is actually holding up over everybody else. Thx for the article.

I think the last three times or games i have seen Ike on the court he has been yanked after a travelling call. Not sure how that is a team mates fault.

I don't get that. He travels, yet guys like Barnes and Monta Ellis get away with those kinds of turnovers? Were any of the travelling calls bad calls? Sometimes, it's hard for a ref to get a good view of the pivot foot or if the defender was doing something to dislodge that pivot foot that is illegal.

I dunno. I just don't want to see Ike getting all rusty on the bench. He definitely has something that we need more of. He is like Pietrus or Ellis with the point per minute production, but he's a big player who is very well polished mentally. There's got to be more why coaches won't play him when he's healthy right now. Okay, so we know with Montgomery he hates rookies and with Nelson he plays small ball, but damn, if we were going to do him like that, we might as well have traded him earlier. Potential 20/10 player with shotblocks, excellent footwork, ability to score with either hand and get to the foul line repeatedly and we're messing around not using him IMO. Even if we had Sean May it'd probably be the same result...
