<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Mike James does not feel he deserves the harsh treatment usually reserved for Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady in these parts.

The outspoken ex-Raptors point guard will find out tomorrow night whether Toronto fans feel the same way about him.

James, a lightning rod for controversy because of his aggressive style of play and his willingness to speak his mind, returns to the Air Canada Centre with his Minnesota Timberwolves for a game against the Raptors tomorrow night.

"I don't see any reason why (Raptors fans) wouldn't (cheer him)," James said in a telephone interview. "I didn't give them any reason not to cheer for me. I gave my heart to Toronto. Every time I stepped on the court, I played to win. I can't see why fans would hold it against me that I didn't sign back in Toronto. Talk to Colangelo."

That would be Bryan Colangelo, Raptors president/general manager, who probably did not receive a Christmas card from James.

Colangelo made a trade for point guard T.J. Ford, while James signed a four-year, $25- million US deal with the Timberwolves. At the time, James said Colangelo offered him a three-year contract and wanted him to come off the bench, which the veteran called "a slap in the face."

It was the end to an eventful year in Toronto for James, who delivered career-best statistics and career-best one-liners to the media in a 27-win season for the Raptors before taking what appeared to be a veiled shot from Chris Bosh when the Raptors star said the team needed a pass-first point guard.

"Colangelo and company felt I wasn't part of their future plans," James said. "It's nothing toward me. I just didn't fit in to what they wanted to do for the future. It's just business. I definitely understand that. </div>

Mike James was aight last year for the raps, ball hug and selfish most times.
He would have been a good backup for TJ tho. But i still prefer Calderon, we need a team guy, not a knockle head like James. GOOD BALLA tho.

Welcome back Mike James. The Mike James + Chris Bosh saga has ended and now the Mike James + Kevin Garnett saga begins.

How much longer until Bosh is back?
