What's up with this season's injury bug? It seems to me like there are injuries coming left and right.

Pau Gasol - was injured for a while in the beginning of the season
Lamar Odom - out a month
Nenad Krstic - out for season
Rashard Lewis - out 2 months
    Peja Stojakovic
    Bobby Jackson - rib injury
Kobe Bryant - missed first couple of games in start of season
    Shaquille O'Neal
Tracy McGrady - just returned last night
Yao Ming - out for a month
Chris Mihm - out for season
    Monta Ellis - shoulder injury
Chris Paul - out with ankle injury
Josh Smith - could miss 4 weeks
    Sam Cassell
Paul Pierce - out 2-3 weeks
Kenyon Martin - out for season
    Marcus Camby - broken finger
Kirk Snyder - out 8-10 weeks
Bobby Simmons - out for season
Rashard McCants - out for season
    David West
Shavlik Randolph - out for season
Darius Miles - out for season
Robert Swift - out for season
Chris Bosh - out 1 week
Ron Artest - sore knees (could be faking it)

These are just some of the injuries already this season.

I know man. It's been crazy, and this isn't even counting the likes of Brandon Roy, AK47, Ray Allen, Speedy Claxton, Marvin Williams, etc. So many people have been getting hurt this year, and unfortunately for me, I've been the owner of a lot of them on my fantasy squads.

Add Hedo Turkoglu, Jameer Nelson, and Keith Bogans to the list. It's been crazy.

Maybe the refs just have to whistle more, for the physical situations. I don't know what to do. You can never now when you land badly or something. It sucks ! Big stars are out, especially McGrady and Yao. Omg man.

Well, you cant hold bakc an injury, if he lands on his ankle badly or something. The refs could only hold back some little injuries which come very easily.

What stands out most to me is the amount of season ending injuries taking place this year.

Even with all these injuries, we haven't seen any breakout player that should be getting more minutes now. Gerald Green might turn into one though. Amare and Grant Hill are still holding up!

AK hasn't been as hurt this year either [IMG] But was out with a sprained ankle and has a concussion now.

    Kyle Lowry-Broken Wrist
    Brad Miller-8 weeks Foot
Mike Bibby-Hurt wrist (came back after 4 weeks, but should of waited full 8)
Whole Warriors team was out at one point seems like
J-Chillz been out for awhile for ATL
Then throw in all those DEN-NYK Brawl suspension on top [IMG]

Add Chris Paul to the list. He had a bad ankle sprain in the Seattle game.

I also read AK47 chipped parts of his teeth after catching some elbows.

oh you forgot about Aaron Mckie [IMG]

Injury is part of the game. I think the NBA did an okayish job trying to prevent injury accident by implementing a fragrant foul and a fine.

AK first rolled his ankle, then got hit in the mouth and lost part of his tooth, and just last night got elbowed in the face by Maggette and has a concussion lol.

Well, it's really sad that so many great athelets are getting injured like this.

Maybe the NBA has banned some training substance? Who know's

The Wizards have had their shares of injuries this season. The loss of Michael Ruffin and Etan Thomas during the season has forced Eddie Jordan to go on a 7 man rotation, not trusting guys like Blatche or Taylor. Songalia being out 8-12 weeks in the beginning of the season hasn't hurted the Wizards much, since they've been scoring like there's no tommorow, but it does lose another guy that can come off the bench and contribute.
