The rumors are true hes stepping down. I think Tagilabue has done a great job making the NFL the most popular sport and more successful sport in america. Basically the anti-Selig

i wonder who is next in line

All this swirling around the fact that he had insisted that no cap would be good until he heard so much backlash.... he couldn't take it i agree he has a done a better job than selig, for the most part. Interested to see who replaces him .

Hall of Fame in my book. He's a big reason why the league is such a sucess to this day.

i agree with out Rozelle the NFL is nothing and Tagliabue wasnt as good as Rozelle for sure. But he deserves credit with the salary cap and the collective bargaining agreements between teh union and owners he certainly had a progressive term as the commish.

Comparing them isn't fair to either or. They were both great. Tagliabue took over a league that was struggling at the time.. and turned it into the most popular sport in America.. He's the one that put Free agency into play and help create a cap.. These being very important roles in the NFL sucess today..

Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice said NFL commissioner is her dream job.

I'm all for her replacing Tags.

The drawback is she is only member of the executive branch I like.

I have mixed feelings for Tag. One is that he delayed making Baltimore the expansion team and made a museum instead. But after all that he has done for the NFL for those years, he's okay.
