Good 2nd quarter, in which at least McGrady had 8-8 from the FT line. Rockets leads 49-39 even with 13 TO.
^Heck Yea. Howard is playing awesome. McGrady is playing pretty good with some block shots. Head turned the ball a little but got some steals in return. Battier with 4 three pointers, he is shooting awesome, and if we win he gets all the credit for the win for his outstanding defense on Carter. He is really slowing Carter down. Alston playing pretty good, pushing the ball. McGrady got Jefferson in foul trouble so now they put Kidd on McGrady and McGrady is just posting up and shooting fade aways on Kidd and hitting. Mutombo is doing a good job with rebounds. Everyone is playing good, Rockets can win this game if they keep up the momentum. Howard is really stepping up in the place of Yao Ming. And like I said before, someone other than McGrady will need to step up and take some of Yao Ming's shots, and Howard is doing that. Good Job Howard!! GO ROCKETS!!
I wouldn't say Battier was slowing Carter down. He has been struggling for about 2 weeks now and he can't seem to find a groove. I actually thought the Nets had a chance to win this game, but I guess it's not gonna happen. Vince is 4-14 and is struggling once again. RJ is 4-11 and he is ice cold also. This would be one hell of a lose. Losing right after a game like last night where the game was decided by the last second. I thought we would come out firing today, but I guess the Rockets defense really did a number on us. The Rockets are a great team and I give them credit to beat us, but then again every team in the NBA could probably beat the Nets at this point of the year.
71-56 going into the fourth quarter. Carter, don't worry, Rockets are really known for blowing big leads in the 4th quarter. Man, Rockets better protect that lead.

I guess we're handing Nets a nice asskicking today. Battier with a career-high 6 three-pointers!! WOOT!
Pffft. T-Mac 4 for 16. If it's the new ball's fault then he better pick it up in 2007. Great game by Battier. Also like the efficient shooting by Howard. He's certainly working to keep his starting gig. Deke with 10 boards in 19 minutes! Way to step it up!
Kidd= 11 points Carter= 12 points <font size=""3"">=</font> <font size=""3"">34 points</font> = <font size=""4"">Great defense by Houston</font> Jefferson= 11 points The Nets trio averages 55.5 ppg and we held them to 34 points. Great game by everyone. I thought Luther's three-pointer streak was going to stop until he hit one. I got releaved, then he hit another. Luther is great, but he has to learn to focus into the game. He was throwing bad passes which he later made up for by stealing the ball like 3 times. Good win! GO ROCKETS! If we can keep on playing like this (mostly defense) then we might be safe until Yao comes back. The credit for the win goes to B-A-T-T-I-E-R!! 7 three pointers and great defense!
I'd like to know why JVG kept the starters in so long. This game as in the bag at the 3-minute mark. In particular, there was no good reason to keep McGrady on the court for so long.

If tmac doesn't injure his back then we can prob stay somewhere between 6-8 seed in west before yao comes. I hope we get 6th seed so we can play Utah.
Great defense, I love the way how Luther, Battier, and bench players never give up even if they're up by 20+. Especially John Lucas. @ Howard airballing a hook and then Deke does the exact same hook in the same possession and same result. TWO airballs in one play
I think JVG was worried we'd blow another lead so he left T-Mac in the game a little to long. A minute or two before we went up 21 it was a 14-15 point game which is nothing in the NBA [esp. lately]. <div class="quote_poster">TmacGarnett Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">If tmac doesn't injure his back then we can prob stay somewhere between 6-8 seed in west before yao comes. <div class="quote_poster">durvasa Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">In particular, there was no good reason to keep McGrady on the court for so long.</div> That's what Bill Worrell was talking about and then Matt Bullard said that it was kind of a good thing to keep McGrady in so that he'll work his bag and kind of get in game mode. JVG kept McGrady in I guess so that he can let his back loose.
