<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Kobe Bryant scored 27 points and Smush Parker added a season-high 20, sending the Los Angeles Lakers to a 106-93 win over the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night. Grant Hill had 20 points for Orlando, while Jameer Nelson added 15 points and seven assists. Dwight Howard had 12 points and eight rebounds. After scoring 15 points in the first half, Bryant virtually disappeared in the third quarter. Great effort by the bench and a great game both defensively and offensively for Smush! Can't wait for Friday now
Good bounce back victory tonight over the Magic for us, a few things I noticed tonight. 1. Phil Jackson did a GREAT job tonight coaching. He was absolutely perfect with the substitutions. He kept Sasha in the first half when he was playing great. He kept Smush in the 3rd when he was on fire. Just a bunch of little things. 2. Where in the world was Ronny Turiaf? IN the first half, we couldn't box out or get any rebounds, if Ronny was playing against the Heat, I assume that he wasn't injured for tonight's game. Come on Phil, PLAY HIM! 3. My boy Sasha was absolutely great tonight. Who saw him dunk on that dead ball? Who woulda thought he could! Haha, but one thing I noticed about Sasha tonight is he was taking SMART shots, and wasn't just throwing the ball up there right when he got it. He actually attacked the basket one play too on a veery nice play. Props Sasha. 4. Smush had a great game offensively, 18 pts in one quarter is amazing, well done Smush, keep it up. 5. Andrew Bynum, dayum, he looked good tonight fellas. Offensively he was amazing. If we can get him to be better on defense, we're in great shape for the future. 6. Last but not least, my boy Kobe had a decent game. Unfortunately, Kobe is playing very inefficient basketball again. HE is taking very hard fade-away shots when they are unneccessary and chucking up a lot of shots. I'm not too fond 8/22 shooting, and I hope he can work on taking good shots again and get his field goal shooting to 50%. He had some good plays on defense though, like that one sick block.
Im disappointed in Kobe's turnovers. He is not taking care of the ball... Hopefully he gets out of this funk soon.
I'm dissapointed with Bryant because he had yet another game with a poor FG%. However, the last couple of games Kobe has had some killer blocks. The one on Nelson today was very nice.
I thought this thread was going to be 7 key ideas on how to beat the Magic as told by Sasha Vujacic. Tell me, why did the Magic get run over by the Smushcalade? Every time I see him against anyone else, he kind of sucks, but he always burns us
Yup, Smush got 20 points on 8-12 shooting. Bynum with 13/4/2 and a block with just one turnover shooting 6-8 in just 13 minutes! Another stat that amazes me is we went 24-27 on FT's!
