Evidently Childress saw a little Owens in Culpepper. I don't know about you but that's just not right to insult someone once they are out of arms reach. Be a man - if he was pissing you off at the time, tell him to his face - don't run to the media after he's gone.

I don't like a lot of what I'm seeing from this new management group. Wilf is still OK in my book, but Childress has a short leash IMO.

Call it sour grapes but Childish has nothing but whine.

It will interesting to see how he does w/o Andy Reid holding his hand. After all, BC was the OC in name only. Reid called all the shots on Offense.

I'm so glad that the University of Utah hired Urban Meyer back in the day over Childress.

Daunte is/was nothing like Terrell IMO.

Would you be saying this if Daunte was traded to Oakland?

I don't know; Culpepper to the Raiders never happened.

Childress is being incredibly unprofessional regardless.

Who didn't? Culpepper pissed and moaned about a contract he signed. Sounds like T.O. to me. Then he has the guts to expect a new larger contract when he played like total crap without Moss and has a horrible knee injury! That's worse than T.O. as far as I'm cocerned.

Culpepper is a selfish crybaby in my opinion. I can't believe Miami picked this idiot over Brees.

Childress was too kind in my view. I hope Culpepper continues his flop in Miami.

Let me state again; 1) that appearantly Saban saw something in Brees' medical report that made him believe that Drew was more damaged than originally speculated. 2) Culpepper IMO is a better fit than Brees in Miami's offensive philosophy

Childress IMO is trying indirectly to suck up to management.

Half a bad season and you're right Daunte is a flop. You of all people should be glad to see Culpepper leave so he wouldn't lay a hurting on the Lions twice a year.

Of course, you also think that McCown is all that on toast. Nothing against Kitna, but, Orlovsky is the Lions only hope at QB.

Culpepper signed a contract that his agent told him was a good contract - he put a lot of faith in his agent. When he realized that the contract was crap (which most people recognize), he fired his agent. In addition, he was told by the organization at the beginning of the year that they would renegotiate after the season.

Now Minnesota had every right to tell Pepp that they wanted to see him play again before they restructured his contract, but that should have come from the highest management (Wilf). When Pepp came in to negotiate, he saw 1 person, Bryzenski, who told him there would be no renegotiation.

I don't know about you, but if I am working for an organization, realize that I got taken with my previous contract that I trusted my agent (if I had an agent) with, and was promised the opportunity to discuss renegotiation only to be told that this was no longer an issue, I would be upset too.

Furthermore, the Vikings were insisting that Pepp rehab in Minnesota. What's the point? His doctors were closer to him in Florida, that is his home where he is comfortable, it is warmer there which will help with any pain, and he can do some of his rehabbing drills outside rather than indoors - I would want to rehab in Florida as well.

No, this is not Pepp being a TO, this is management and a new coach flexing their muscles. I am a Vikings fan til I die, but the Pepp thing is total crap IMO. If this is the way this group wants to run things, then it could be a few years before we are good again (a few years in Cincinatti time)

Of course, if they start winning, I'll be jumping on that bandwagon. [IMG]

I have no problem with Vikings organization and Culpepper should've shown some loyalty. That, however, is a moot point.

    Daunte is gone. Move on!
