Without Krstic and against a strong Miami Heat team, it will be a challenge. If the Heat bring thier game to this game, the Nets will have no chance of winning. If, on the other hand the Heat come in with thier bad game, the Nets will have a really good chance of winning. Keys to win for the Nets: First, the big three of Kidd, Carter, and Jefferson need to play determined basketball. Carter needs to be a lot more aggressive than he has been in the last few games. Kidd needs to be involved, and Jefferson needs to hussle after rebounds and get open for good looks at the basket on offense. Second, Boone needs to be productive off of the bench either rebounding-wise, defensivly, or offensivly. Key to win for the Heat: Punish the Nets on the low post but giving the ball to Haslem or Mourning. Bring the bigmen out to prevent Carter, Kidd, or Jefferson from driving to the hoop. Force the Nets to make tough jumpshots. The Nets need to get inspiration to play, and they need to get it sooner rather than later. The Nets made the playoffs two years ago without Jefferson in the line-up and with a Rookie Krstic. The Nets are a better team this year than they were that year even with Krstic. The best way for the Nets to get motiveated is for coach Frank to get the veterans to bring rookies like Boone and Ilic into the rotation. Perhaps starting Boone would do the trick. Veterans like Kidd feed off of making other players better. What player better to try to make batter than Boone.

Wade Questionable Tonight Against Nets
Quote:

Dwyane Wade is questionable for tonight's game against the visiting New Jersey Nets , and also could miss Saturday's game at Orlando after spraining his right wrist. A second round of magnetic resonance imaging tests taken Thursday on Wade's wrist revealed no structural damage, but Wade said after the game his wrist felt like it was ''out of place.'' He said it had no strength and that he couldn't shoot.
Source

Well the Nets played well in the second half. Of course you can't be satasfied beating a Miami Heat team that doesn't have Shaq, or more importantly Wade. However, I wonder if this win might get the Nets going. I have been saying this after every win though. Kidd 17 pts 10 rebs 7 asts Carter 23 pts 6 rebs 9 asts Jefferson 22 pts 5 rebs Williams 8 pts Nachbar 8 pts Rest of Boxscore
Wade and Posey were badly missed tonight, I think it would've been a totally different game with Posy guarding VC and someone trying to guard Wade.
A win even against a Heat without Shaq or Wade is worth just as much as a win over the the Heat with Shaq and Wade, and every win will bring the Nets closer to playoffs and quiet the negative media!
I hope this gives the Nets a big confidence boost. If we didn't beat the Heat without Shaq or Wade that would have been a major embarrassment, but fortunately we won. Lets just build on a streak to get above 500.
I missed 3 quarters of the game, so how have the Nets been playing. The score doesn't tell the whole story.
