Why are the Lakers going to Kwame in the OT periods if he keeps turning it over? Why not Cook, Fruit Loops, Space cadet, or Turiaf?
<div class="quote_poster">Brok3n Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">lol, its just one game guys, dont freak out on Kwame yet.</div> He's like that every game though. What a joke.
definately most disappointing game of the year so far... this was supposed to be a win and we played horrible. defense was horrible. signs of old kobe came back which i hate. LET YOUR TEAMATES SHOOT THE BALL! lets just go to LA and whoop the sixers!!!
We should have easily been 4-2 on this road trip. Instead we get a loss from a scrub bobcat team. Props to Okafor. Monster night.
<div class="quote_poster">Kobe24bryant Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">i hate Kwame Brown.. omg.. that was a emabarassing loss. Kobe's 58 was like off 44 shots.</div> 22/45 That's a respectable percentage at least, but he should have passed a bit more. Though his overall TS% wasn't bad.
lakers didnt come to play... only kobe did his job which wasnt enough considering the lakers let 4 Bobcats score 20+ each

I want someone to clarify what happened with the ref who confronted Kobe on the bench, who gave Phil that technical for defending Kobe, AND gave Kobe the technical when I saw not really arguing but just talking? I just want that clarified before I go off saying I hate the dude.
The officiating sounded the same for you guys like when the Wizards came into town on Wednesday. There were just missed fouls in the paint, Arenas and Coach Eddie Jordan each got a technical and it almost looked like they were trying to give the Bobcats the win then. The only difference was that Arenas was able to come through at the end of the game. How was Gerald Wallace in this game? I don't think there's a guard that can stop Gerald Wallace when he's posting up, the only way to stop him is by forcing him to shoot jumpers.
<div class="quote_poster">Kobe24bryant Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">ok. 45 shots, games like this is were Kobe is critizized. Even though he has to shoot.</div> Did he have to shoot 12 times in OT? Even moreso when you consider he only hit only 3 of them.
In Kwame's defense, one of the turnovers was on a HORRIBLE pass from Walton. Why the hell do you throw a pass at the ankles of a 7 footer while he's moving? We didn't lose because of Kwame, we lost because we played like crap. There was no reason that this game should've went into overtime. We didn't come to play, only Kobe.
I aggree, we shouldn't have to depend solely on Kobe and then Kwame to win a game, its a true group effort which didn't show to much tonight (especially from Radman). I would like to see the second unit more involved out there, Farmar, Vujacic, Evans, and Turiaf really seem to create a new spark out in the court. But also, we can't forget that Odom (whose is our double punch) is still out and the Lakers have been playing better than expected without him. I just wish this game showed for it. But the team is still predominatly young and games like these are bound to happen. It just takes a bit of time to overcome the hurdles.
What I want to know is...why do we always have to do this in close games? Why do we no longer run our offense, and just have Kobe handle the ball and shoot every single shot while the other 4 players are stagnant on offense? The same 4 players who are running back and forth busting their tail playing defense (or we'd like to hope so), but then they don't even get a look or a pass on offense. That crap is not gonna fly come Playoff time, seriously. We are using the best player in the league inefficiently in my opinion. He should be our go to go when we need him for that last 1 or 2 minutes. So many times he could probably drive it to the whole and dish it out and we'd get a good look at the basket. 3 FREAKIN OT's, he tried to take over all of them. That's freakin 15 minutes. At the start of each OT, we should have gone back to our offense and got everyone in involved. I would have said the same stuff I just said even if we would have Won. It just drives me nuts to see Kobe do what he did late in the 4th quarter and on. He's too good to be making the same mistakes down the stretch.
The Lakers were held scoreless in the 2nd OT, when they weren't going to Kobe. Plain and simple, Kobe was the only one who showed up to play tonight. He wouldn't have to take over if the team would've stepped up. The game should've been a blow out, that's not Kobe's fault.
