<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> After more than two seasons in a Phoenix uniform, you'd think Steve Nash's returns to Dallas would be no big deal.

But the subject of Nash's departure in the summer of 2004 still sparks emotions in the two-time MVP. Like fans, he can't help but wonder what might have been.

"I spend time thinking about it," Nash said Thursday. "But it is what it is. It would have been nice to have a shot at it with the group, the city and the team you spent six years with.

"I have a feeling we could have won one [championship] at least. But that's behind us. I love playing in Phoenix. I miss Dallas. It's a great town. But if I had to go anywhere, I went to a perfect situation, obviously.

    "What can I do?"

All he can do is build on a career that has reached unthinkable heights since he left the Mavericks via free agency, a move that still rates among the worst basketball decisions in franchise history.

True, they recovered nicely from it, which is a credit to Mark Cuban, Donnie Nelson, Don Nelson and Avery Johnson. But the Mavericks let a $60-million asset walk out the door and got nothing in return.

And it has been Phoenix's gain ever since. Nash has gotten stronger physically since leaving, and the Suns are once again serious contenders for the title.

"I don't know if it's 10, five or four [more years], but I don't see him slowing down," coach Mike D'Antoni said. "As long as he keeps his desire to play ? and that's what separates him ? if he doesn't tire of that, then there's no reason why he can't play a long time.

"It's not like he's going to lose all his jumping ability. The things he does, he can do when he's 40 years old. I think he wants to, and that's the key; and if I don't wear him out, which I will. But that's his problem."

D'Antoni added that Nash has reached such a high level that he's untouchable.

"Guys, he's really good, really good," he said. "They can talk about anybody else in the league, but he's really good. I wouldn't trade him for anybody. And you can underline anybody." </div>

Ofcourse D'Antoni doesn't want anybody to Phoenix for Nash. Nash is the most important player in Phoenix.

I don't want to see Nash with that jerk Dirk again. He fits in Phoenix and that's where he belongs to.

Their chemistry is perfect at the moment so I think that he will finish his career in Phoenix.

BTW: What do you think, how many year will Nash play in the league ?

Well, he doesen't just like Dirk so much.

I think that Nash wouldn't be in Dallas as good as he is in Phoenix. I love phoenix basketball and i dont want to see Nash in Dallas uniform, and i am SURE that it won't happen.

Nash will play 3 great season more.

Last time I checked, Nash and Dirk were best-a-friends.
