I am not a big fan of Tommy. On the off chance that Daunte isn't ready when the season opens, he would be a good caretaker until Culpepper is good to go.

He already knows Mularkey's system has some chemistry w/ MM. Besides, how hard will it be to hand off to Ronnie and hopefully RW??

If they get Maddox they should still draft a late round QB like Micheal Robinson as their #3 QB who can play multiple positions and save them a roster spot.

Miami got Cleo Lemon from the Chargers ias part of the Feeley trade. Former Gator Brock Berlin was sent to NFL Europe by the phins.

I would not mind seeing Miami use one its 7th round picks on a QB. Be it former Gator Ingle Martin, Brett Elliott who tore it up at D3 Linfield Coll in Oregon, or NWestern QB Brett Basanez.

FWIW, BE got injured and lost his starting gig to Alex Smith in '03

To clarify, Brock Berlin actually went to both....he was recruited by Spurrier at Florida, where he was a backup for a season, then transfered to U of M after Spurrier left for the Redskins....

Just a couple problems with that:

    1. Michael Robinson doesnt have the skills to be the 3rd QB on an Arena League team....he just doesnt throw well....he also hasnt embraced a switch in positions and I wouldnt be shocked if he goes undrafted because of it....

    2. How are you going to use a 3rd QB at multiple positions? If he enters the game anytime before the 4th quarter, the 1st and 2nd stringers cant return to the game....

That has not been decided and probably won't be until April.

I heard that too. I doubt it. It's just a silly rumor.

Maddox IMO will be the backup.

If Miami decides to get their version of Slash, I'd rather it be Reggie McNeal of Texas A & M.
