Uhh, if I can't express my opinion without you getting offended, that should tell you something about yourself.

Let me ask, what books do you read?

what relevance does what I read have to do with anything?

and no, it isn't expressing your opinion that is offensive, it is how you tell people why they watch the show when it is most likely not true for 99% of them.

It has to do with your mental capacity.

Most 24 fans just want "OMG GUNZ N EXPLOSIONZ", sad but true. They don't care about continuity, character development, realism, or any other thing. What I said in this thread earlier was extremely toned down, anyway.

-The US would be a police state if half this stuff happened
-The head of the Islamic Association of America doesn't know Arabic? HAHAHA!
-The way they killed Blackjack was horrible. They wanted OMG important character to die, and it's like they wrote it in five minutes. Curtis could've taken that guy out if he wanted; if he had a suicidal vendetta going on with the ex-terrorist, the ex-terrorist would've already been dead. This is of course ignoring the point that Curtis is not stupid, and wouldn't have pulled that **** when and where he did. I could've written him off of the show better than that.
-The president was in the White House when he knew an attack was in progress. In reality, he would've been on Air Force One on his way to Camp David, or somewhere else. Multi-target attacks, anyone? On 9/11, the Secret Service took Cheney to the underground bunker before he even knew what was going on.

That's stuff I picked up on just watching a single episode while stoned. Sorry, I wish 24 was a good show, well-written, well-cast (Gabe from Six Feet Under as CTU supervisor? Mary-Lynn the sketch comedian as the second most important character?), or well-anything. It's not. But that's okay, right? They have explosions and gun fights.

There's nothing wrong with evaluating it based on how realistic it is. Fact is that the show's main appeal is action, crazy scenarios, and surprises. That's nothing to be ashamed about though.

    Put it this way:

Monday morning at the water cooler, people talk about the popular show 24. What are they more likely to talk about?

    The action, twists and turns.

    Or

How Chloe's character development is poor.

The character development is poor outside of the main buffs (Jack Bauer). I don't watch the show for character development, if I did I wouldn't enjoy it. It's an amazing show though, for what it's supposed to be.

When I want character development, I watch The Wire and Rescue Me.

This episode was on of the worst episodes for the first 45 minutes, and then the **** hit the fan.

-Jack's brother is a fucktard, I was so pissed.
-Josh is Jack's son, hence the awkward feeling in the room, and why the kid looks 100% like Elisha Cuthbert.
-Next week's episode looks flippin amazing.

Prison Break was good, but the show is WAY too predictable.

no doubt, is the kid related to her (Elisha Cuthbert) in real life? They look like twins almost.

This episode was so sh*t but I guess you need an episode like this to build up the storyline for the upcoming ones. Jack Bauer is f'n gully though. When his brother complains about him hurting him he responds, "Trust me, I'm not". Even though that was in the previews it was amazing.

Just curious, what are your guys thoughts on Tom? He's a fishy character.

And the guy that plays Josh Bauer isn't related to Elisha Cuthbert.

I'd so do her...over...and over. Especially in that office attire.

I didn't think she was that hot, but after seeing this picture...teheh, give me her in that office outfit, as well.

Another twisted ending like many episodes. The begginning was great again but it had a nice leadup.

I always near there was something wrong/fishy with Tom.

How much security was there at the place where Waleed was kept? When he got jumped only a few men came which I find awkward.

    Dude got f'd up.

I like these slow episodes, they're building the story. They started the season with one of the biggest bangs in 24 history, now they're building the story. I'm looking for the drama and action to pick up soon, though. Next week looks amazing, but I said the same about this week.

BTW, Karen Hayes and Tom = horrible chemistry with each other.

The episode of Prison Break was absolutely trash.

Mamba, just want to know your take on this:

Tony Kornheiser (sp?) from PTI said the show may have jumped the shark.

    Your thoughts?

He's just a pain like Miles was last season.

It's just as fine as ever IMO.

I think it's been the best 6 episodes to open a season, arguably, to date. They started out with two major moves, and now they're building a storyline. Every good show has to build one. Instead of building, if you guys saw the preview for next weeks show, things should start to pick up.
