Someone's got to do it. Hmmm.... okay, how about Diogu has a breakout game tonight. 18 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks. Don't laugh.
I love it when we play Sacramento. The rivalry is pretty intense and it's evenly matched. This will decide who deserves to be in the playoffs more.

Preview from Yahoo <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">After two straight home victories, the Warriors hope to continue their momentum when they face the Kings in the opener of a three-game road trip. Golden State (16-16) beat Boston 110-100 on Friday night to improve to 13-5 on its home court, where it has won five straight. The Warriors have won their first two meetings with the Kings (12-15) this season, both of which were at Oracle Arena, averaging 121.5 points while the Kings posted 109.0 per game. But Golden State has struggled on the road, allowing 111.5 points per game en route to a 3-10 record. </div> Thx Alleyoop
<div class="quote_poster">Carter Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">When it gets intense it most likely is a rivalry. </div> no, no it isn't the warrioirs- Kings.. that is not a rivalry. A rivalry is when a team beats the other team in a series and the other team comes back to beat them again. Then it becomes a rivalry. For example Spurs- Mavs that is a rivalry.

The Warriors and Kings haven't played in a series yet because the Warriors haven't made the playoffs in 12 years. Even if it's not in the playoffs, I think everyone should still consider the Warriors/Kings a rivalry. Maybe not a big one, but it still is one.

<div class="quote_poster">Kobe24bryant Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Thats like saying there's a rivalry between the Lakers and The Warriors.</div> That's different. When the Lakers play you can't feel the same hype and atmosphere as you do for the Kings/Warriors.
Alright you two, get a room or something... The Kings are the W's rivals because they're right up the highway as are the A's the SF Giants rivals...
I think it's only a rivalry when we see each other in the playoffs. Now Lakers vs. Kings was a big rivalry. Vlade, Webber, Bibby, Peja vs. Shaq n Kobe. Man was there sht talking or what? Shaq was at his funniest back then too. Shaq basically made some comments about how whipped Doug Christie was.
I think it is agreeable to say that the Kings/Warriors isnt a NBA rivalry, for reasons already stated such as lack of playoff berths by the Warriors or series played in the playoffs vs. the two teams. However it is a rivalry similar to how the Warriors vs. Suns could be called a rivalry because they are both in the same division. So we could call it a divisional rivalry. The Warriors/Lakers might be considered more intense because it is a divisional AND state rivalry. The Warriors/Kings is an even more intense rivalry as it is not just divisional and state rivalry but a Northern California rivalry. If you don't buy that argument then you can say that the Warriors have no rivalries. Not making the playoffs or even coming that close in the last 12 years will do that to a team. So maybe, at least it could be said that the Kings is the Warriors biggest rival, so maybe by default then the Kings/Warriors is a rivalry, if not seen by other teams' fans at least it will be for most Warriors' fans and probably some Kings' fans. It would be wonderful if the Warriors can win the season series tonight. That will be extremely beneficial once the season rolls to an end.

We have a guy who, given minutes, can post numbers like J O'Neal or Gasol,we act like we'd as soon give him the old Marc jackson freeze out and transform a budding star into a rd 2 pick off in the distance. Meanwhile,we are playing good ball short and shorthanded and yet conceding the rebound edge, expecting dunleavy to impersonate a PF or Ike to come in like a 3 min Foyle-lite to play C in some confined role...it's a tragic waste. Bogut,Frye,Villanueva, had no more skill or game-smarts than Ike when entering the league, coaches PUT THEM IN THE FRICKIN' GAME and a short spell of playing 25-35 min-and they were established. Ike gets treated like he's some 3rd world soccer guy who's never played hoops. Then 2 coaches try diddling what worked, fixing what ain't broken,so instead of a learning environment-it's more like "forget all you learned, your job is to just set some picks". Murphy is active now....odds are he and Ike combined play 10 min-and we get outboarded by C Williamson.
I like the sig, REREM Man I hope Ike will get some burn tonight. Potential 16/8 or 20/10 right there. Heck if Ryan Gomes is doing it, I think Ike can easily do what he's doing now.

Davis and Bibby?
May not be a rivalry to people, but I sure enjoy watching the Warriors beating the Kings the most out of all teams in the NBA.
