The two hail from the same hometown in Lithuania and, despite an 11-year age difference, are friends.

"We need to make sure he's going to be living his life as a normal human being," Ilgauskas said. "He's still struggling. But from what I've heard, the doctors said he should be fine eventually."

Ilgauskas has talked to Andriuskevicius, who suffered a fractured skull and a brain injury when he was punched by NBDL teammate Awvee Storey in practice. Ilgauskas said his spirits weren't great.

"He's not back to normal and won't be for a while," Ilgauskas said.</div>

No he is a young project type seven footer who the Bulls acquired this summer. He hasn't suited up for the team yet he was working on polishing his game. However, he suffered a major setback when he was punched and suffered severe injuries.

I wonder what lead up to Awvee punching him with that much force and ill intentions. You have to be amped up to hit someone hard enough to fracture their skull. Crazy.

I'm still surprised they haven't slapped him with a punishment similar to that high schooler who punched a ref and nearly killed him. Remember that incident a while back?

    Here is what was confirmed...

I did a google search on Storey to see if he's had any other offcourt problems and came across this ...

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">According to the police report, Storey was walking in traffic in the middle of a busy street when an officer told him to get back on the sidewalk. When Storey did not get out of the street, the officer arrested him and charged him with failing to obey a command.</div>

    His case was dismissed ...

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Storey's case was dismissed after he made a $250 contribution to a charity, a spokesman for the Miami-Dade State Attorney's office said Monday.</div>

    Source

I read another article in the Sun Times and a "source" says Andriuskevicius confronted Storey after the foul, and was knocked out after the punch, which caused his head to hit the floor. So maybe the fracture was actually caused by the floor and not the actual punch.

Either way, I'd be surprised to see Storey get any chance at playing for an NBA team again.

Storey was dismissed Friday from the National Basketball Development League for the Dec. 28 incident.</div>

He must be pissed since his contract got terminated. That was the right decision by the team. But, I doubt he'll apologize now.
