What do you do with $34 mil in signing money?

    You sign Mike McMahon.

Yet another unimpressive signing by the Vikes. I like a handful of the signings, but really guys, this is pretty ugly.

Didn't the Vikes sign Tank Williams? I think that will balance out with the McMahon signing.

The Vikings should still try to move up to get a QB. Brad Johnson is near retirement, and Mike Mcmahon couldnt do anything in philly.

Tank Williams was a key signing..

I'm guessing McMahon was signed as a backup..

Insider is still reporting that Minnesota is pushing hard for Schaub and harder than the public knows.. I think Schaub at his age in in the west coast might be better for the team than Daunte..

Schauab is a very good prospect alot of potential there plus he has some game time under his belt with a few starts. would be a good pick up, however I think Atlanta may want a first rounder for him.

Getting a 2nd round pick for Culpepper & having to give up a 1st round pick for Schaub.

    Sorry just doesnt add up.

You're right about the McMahon signing, it's ugly. I can't believe this guys still in the NFL. I expect the Vikes are still looking for a #2 QB.

    <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Vikings sign quarterback McMahon
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. - The Minnesota Vikings signed quarterback Mike McMahon .

McMahon, released this week by Philadelphia and last year by Detroit, got a two-year contract to be Brad Johnson's backup.

"It's a great opportunity for myself, a chance to learn from Brad and see how he prepares," McMahon said. "I'm very excited."

After four seasons with Detroit, starting three games in 2001 and four games in 2002, McMahon spent last year with the Eagles under offensive coordinator Brad Childress -- now Minnesota's head coach.

McMahon, who played his college ball at Rutgers, played in nine games for Philadelphia last season and went 2-5 as a starter after Donovan McNabb went down with a sports hernia. <u>Known for shaving his entire body</u> and as an athletic presence in the pocket with a strong arm, McMahon has had problems with his accuracy. He completed 94 of 207 passes (45.4 percent) for 1,158 yards, five touchdowns and eight interceptions last year.</div>
    LMAO!

A first rounder for Schaub seems fair. He may be a backup, but he is their best QB currently on the roster.

I think Tank Williams is just like an extension of the Linebacking core in the secondary I don't know if his coverage abillities are any better than Corey Chavous'

With a name like Tank can you really go wrong? Their going to need that extra testostorone with the manscaping McMahon in the locker room (Zackman, I'm still laughing about that)

Tank Williams is a good signing. Its amazing how one player can change your perspective a little bit - I am actually very happy with the Chester Taylor signing, and now that the Hutch deal went through with the addition of Richardson, I think we will be a very good running team.

In addition, Burly being signed by Seattle and the addition of a 3rd rounder gives us a lot of room in the draft.

I don't know why, but I would rather see us move up in the draft than to give up too much for Schaub. The guy is good, but I think he is being overrated because of the lack of QBs out there right now. He has had minimal playing time and was a 3rd rounder. I think at best he could be a part of that 'middle of the road' QBs that are decent, but not stars. I'd take the upside of someone like Leinert any day over Schaub.
