Now, comes Hollinger to discuss who to blame for the team's disappointing start. To those who want to slam Vince Carter, Hollinger has this message: "Stop throwing Vince under the bus...folks in the Swamp need to wake up and realize this is the same guy they had a year ago. It's the rest of the team around him that's falling apart."</div>

As much as I love Vince, I would have to disagree. The rest of the team is right where they were. RJ is now back, Kidd is still playing great, Nenad Krstic is out for the season so you cant include him. The bench has improved. It's just that we don't have much power in the post. When Vince plays bad, usually the rest of the team plays bad also. Which is why I think JKidd should be running the offense until VC gets his head in the game.

Dave D'Alessandro responds to some frustrated fans and tilts his head toward #15. He also addresses questions about Lawrence Frank and says that Melvin Ely would just be another practice body. And once again, Dave suggests: "Hassan should play every night, through good times and tough times, 15-18 minutes minimum".</div>

The difference, looking at the numbers, is mostly defense.

Last year, the Nets were ranked 24th in offensive efficiency and 3rd in defensive efficiency. This year, they're 12th in offensive efficiency (actually a significant improvement), but only 15th in defensive efficiency (a huge drop). The big difference is they're not forcing turnovers as often and their defensive rebounding is worse.

Ive been saying Adams needs more minutes all season but somehow they give it to players who dont deserve it like nachbar.
