<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Maggette was back where he began his NBA career seven years ago, and said he would welcome a trade to Orlando. Nothing, however, is in the works between the Clippers and the Magic. When asked if he thought he would be with the Clippers through the remainder of this season, Maggette said emphatically, ?No, I won?t be here.?? Maggette has expressed to the Clippers his desire to be traded and the Clippers have been open to his agent, Rob Pelinka, contacting various teams to see what interest they have. ?I don?t want to make my issue a big thing with the team,? Maggette said. ?At the end of the day, I have to stay professional and play basketball.??</div> Source
The Jazz will be interested in acquiring Maggette, as they lack a true shooting guard. Currently they're starting Derek Fisher. They've signed him to an offer sheet in the past, but probably don't have the pieces to put together a deal as they wouldn't want to move Williams, Okur, Boozer, Kirilenko and some of their younger players. They have draft picks though.
I liked that stuff I was hearing about Vince Carter and New Jersey. New Jersey though wouldn't want Corey and Cuttino, they'll likely want a big (Kaman) back. The Clippers already have Brand playing almost 50% of the teams minutes at C, so trading the starting C is not reasonable, and I don't want Jason Collins. Also especally since Vince would likely just be a one year rental since he wants to be close to his kid (Orlando?)
