<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Yao Ming's scheduled bone scan Tuesday showed no change from the original diagnosis of a fractured tibia or the timetable for his return, at least six weeks from the Dec. 23 injury before he can work out on the court. He has, however, shown improvement. "He's feeling better," Rockets athletic trainer Keith Jones said. "His pain is a lot less." Snyder practices Rockets guard Kirk Snyder practiced on Tuesday for the first time since he broke his right wrist Nov. 20, but he still has not been cleared to catch direct passes. Even in practice drills, teammates threw bounce passes to him. Snyder is scheduled to be examined Friday with a chance to be cleared in time to play against his former team, Utah, that night. "I practiced for the first time," Snyder said. "I could catch. We didn't go full hitting each other. I didn't get it whacked. We'll see. That's when you know if you've gotten over injuries, when you get it tested. The test for this is to get hit hard by a big guy." Bonzi's back trouble Rockets guard Bonzi Wells is expected to miss at least another week after taking anti-inflammatories last week for his sore lower back. "When you have back problems, it hurts your whole game," Wells said. "It's something that's been ongoing for me for a while. I know what Mac ( Tracy McGrady) and those guys have been going through. People don't really understand how much your back has to do with your body and your basketball game. I'm glad to get a chance to get it treated. ... Hopefully, I can be back within a week or so. "It takes your coordination away when your back is messed up. I've been feeling uncoordinated the last few weeks. I've been trying to fight through it."</div> Source
