After struggling for the past few weeks, the Nets seem to have it mostly together. The only Net player who is still not their is Vince Carter. Despite being the leading scorer of this squad, he has not shot the ball well and has averaged only 19 points a game compared to his season average of 25. Vince will have to step up if the Nets want to beat the Bulls who are led by Kirk Hinrich and 6th man Ben Gordon. The Bulls are coming of a loss to the Suns. This is the Nets first game of 2007 and lets start the year off with a win. Go Nets!
If the Nets play to their potential, I see a 85-75 win for the Nets. I really don't see any improvements yet. The last 2 wins doesn't really mean anything. I think most teams would have beaten Miami without Shaq and Wade. And Minessota hasn't done much this season.
Bulls have been on a tear and their offensive game is just like ours, mostly perimeter with Ben Gordon coming off the bench. Ben's been playing a lot better, driving a lot more and not settling for threes. It's going to come down to Luol/Gordon vs. Carter I think. Kidd/Jefferson should be able to neutralize the effects of Kirk, Nocioni, and Duhon, but Carter has to have a big offensive game for us to win.
man Luol Deng is a star. What a fantastic player. Doesn't force much and plays the game fundamentally.
Bulls still have a chance. Carter left the door open with those misses at the line. If the Nets lose this in OT they only have themselves to blame.
My amazement by the heart of Jason Kidd continues. Guy was everywhere getting his hands on every ball tapping rebounds to teammates, getting steals, scoring in the post while getting hacked, and finally Vince is motivated. Kidd with the craziest shot I've seen. He has eyes on the back of his heads. No doubt. Also, Luol Deng should not feel bad about missing those two free throws. He was fabulous all game long and deserves all the praise in the world. And that was a deserving bucket for Ben Wallace.
When is the last time the Nets played with some much energy and hustle. Great win, and the only thing you can say is, keep it up. Does this win cool down the trade rumors? Kidd 17 pts 10 rebs 7 asts Carter 21 pts 5 rebs 4 asts Jefferson 18 pts 6 rebs Nachbar 16 pts 6 rebs Boone 9 pts 5 rebs BoxScore
Yes, 3 wins in a row. We look to have things in shape and Vince is looking motivated out there and Kidd is just plain crazy! The guy is one of my three favortie players and plays with alot of heart.
I guess Kidd won't be complaining about the refs for this game. We shot 44 FTs to their 24FT and a questionable call at the end.
Can someone tell me why Nachbar started and Adams only got 4 minutes. Nachbar is not right for this team when u take 12 shots in 28 minutes and only hit four you need to be on the bench. Vince shot 15 in 34min, RJ shot 9 in 42min, and Jkidd shot 11 in 39min. Nachbar has done nothing to deserve the minutes, give them to Adams and Williams.
