This is starting to freak me out.

About an hour ago I noticed that I can't close my right eye properly. When I try to close it, myleft eye closes first and the right eye closes slow. It's a really weird feeling that I can't describe.

I also just recently noticed about 15 minutes ago that when I smile...the left side of my lips goes on an angle upwards. When I smooch my lips together, they won't go straight but instead go towards the left. It's really weird and freaking me out.

Maybe you're developing a twitch or perhaps a stye on your eye or something? I can't really understand what you mean when you say that your left eye closes when you try to close your right one.

What do you mean when you say "the left side of [your] lips [go] on an angle upwards"? That is pretty wierd. Maybe it's just a temporary thing that'll go away by the next day. Are you on any medication of any kind?

I remember like 2 years ago I was on antibiotics for something and the first couple of days I started getting random puffy nodule type things on my elbows and arms, but they went away eventually.

Yeah, I'd call the doctor right away. You might have...bells palsey? Is that how it's spelled?

EDIT* Forget the thread and questions, just go to the doctor as soon as possible. You may either have a nervous twitch or something more severe.

Well I went to the doctor and it turns out I have Bell's Palsy. Since they found and diagnosed it almost immediately it can be "cured" or fixed soon instead of having permamnet damage. According to the doctor, I have inflammation of a facial nerve as a result of a viral infection or something like that. I was given Apo-Prednisone (5mg a tablet) to help the issue. I have to take 16 once a day for the first 3 days, 12 a day for the next three, 8 a day for the next three, and then 4 a day for the next three. I have to take them all at once with food.

It's really depression for me even though it may not turn out to be anything big. I had to tears coming down my eyes when the doctor was telling me about it because I already knew about this disease. After having pink eye for two weeks, having a broken wrist last year along with other issues I was hoping for this year to start off different. Instead I'm hit with this. What a way to start of the new year.

Sorry to hear about all the health issues you're having. Hopefully it turns out to be nothing, since you went to the doctor right away.

Wow I know how you feel (somewhat). I've had pink eye (or a related "pink eye"-like problem) at least 15 times (I'm all good now though). I hope you get better, good luck.

Hope you get better soon man. If you need help with depression you should talk to a loved one about it or somebody you can trust and that'll know he or she will give you solid information and help.

    Thanks for the comments.

Well really it's not that bad, it doesn't kill your health or anything but really this is another distraction or setback I don't need in my life. I hope that everything turns out well in a few weeks, like the doctor said, and I'll be much more relieved.

Get better, man. It's a good thing you went to the doctor immediately.

If people didn't advise you to go, would you have gone?

I just went to WebMD to look up this stuff, it said it goes away on it's own in a few weeks. Hopefully it does go away for you, and I hope your healthy issues get better.

Not to be mean or anything, but it seems like whenever something happens to someone healthy wise, they always post something on a forum. It's almost as if we're all family or something.

Sorry to hear that man, at least it'll go away in a few weeks. There are a lot worse things out there that don't ever go away completely. Get well soon.

P.A.P, I wouldn't be that upset if I were you. My grandfather got this a few years back, damn near paralyzed half his face because he didn't catch it in time.

The best of luck to you, I'm really glad you caught it in time.

Cuz we are a family. Seriously though, when you stay online with these guys long enough you feel that when you have a problem, you go to get help here.

P.A.P, sorry to hear that. I hope everything turns out well.
