Is it me, or has microsoft limited themselves to 2 genres, sports and shooters? Every other games seems to be a first or third person shooter. I have gears of war, and after playing that, i don't want another shooter for a while. I know Alan Wake is on the way, but what will tide us over till then? I'm tired of playing the same old sports games with updated stats and better graphics.....this is gettin old.
Saints Row is a pretty cool game even though it's a complete ripoff of Grand Theft Auto. And they make some decent RPG's (eg, Oblivion). I do agree though, that Microsoft doesn't release enough games. You know it's getting weak when Burger King releases games for your system.
Oblivion wasn't actually made by Microsoft. It's coming out on the PS3 as well. The only RPG that really comes to mind is Kameo, and that was supposedly crap. Gotta admit though, there's nothing wrong with Microsoft to stick with Action and Sports. Those are what sell in North America, and the lack of a RPG hit is what's keeping it at the bottom in Japan. Gears of War and such make them enough money, though.

I feel like I got ripped off paying as much as I did for a 360 console that I'm playing two games on. Pretty lame...
Sports and Shooters are two of my favorite genres, so it doesn't bother me. Of course there IS stuff besides those two genres on the 360.
In general I agree, all the games I have are sports or shooters. and there isn't much else on the system that interests me. There are exceptions though; Oblivion and Kameo for RPGs, Viva Pinata for just random games that have no real genre. Microsoft doesn't seem to make/publish an software other than that but its not their fault that game developers don't make that many games of other genres on the system.
Even with it's shooters, they only are popular because of it's multiplayer/co op aspects. Halo is a very basic, aliens taking over storyline and I hear Gears of War is like 6 hours long in story mode. Shooter games are very limited in what they can do for gamers in story modes.
I have a 360, and got Blockbuster game pass for Christmas and I am having trouble finding good games.
Difference is the Wii and PS3 just came out and have a lot of already established popular games being produced. X-Box 360 has been out for a year and has nothing but Halo to live on.

Viva Pinata Call of Duty 2 and 3 Dead Rising Oblivion Splinter Cell Double Agent Saints Row Ghost Recon Burnout Revenge Dead or Alive 4 Project Gotham Kameo Plus all the sports games (I recommend NBA 2k7, College Hoops 2k7, Madden 07, NHL 2k7)
Looks like XBLA is about to get spicied up a bit. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/home/ Castlevania SOTN, and Alien Homind(curious about this game), and a few others.
360 definitely isn't getting stale. They have the most/best games out right now. They owned 2006. Until PS3 starts coming out with good games, Xbox360 > PS3

Xbox has been out for over a year, they should have a better library of games.
i have a modded 360 so i got every game and it isnt stale a bit..in the near future hopefully when halo 3 comes out somewhere around christmas time this year microsoft will be coming out with there own cable tv and internet through ur 360. The tv will be cheaper than ur local provider and will have all the same stations(hbo,espn,mtv,g4, etc) aslo the coolest part about it is that it will have no delay time when u change the channels , and there is rumored to be a bigger hard drive coming out too soo there is def more to come
I wouldn't say it's getting stale. It's loaded with good games, and I'm uber excited for March or so. They're releasing a new Elder Scrolls IV expansion called The Shivering Isles. It sounds awesome and it's going to add another 30-40 hours to game that already lasts 100+ hours. Now I have to go out and buy the game again though.
