I was wondering if anyone knows of some nice online resources that describe NBA offenses/defenses in detail and with diagrams. This page provides links to many different online coaching resources: http://www.ksnusa.org/bkblinks.htm But it's very general. One of the links mentioned, in particular, I thought was really nice -- HoopTactics. It's run by Ernie Woods (of CyberSports.com) and a retired NBA coach Bob Kloppenburg. They diagram all sorts of offensive sets, including describing various options and reads. They also discuss many options for early offense, and out of bounds plays. The plays appear to be much more closely related to the pro game than college or high school. They also have some stuff there on how to use and analyze statistics (from a coaching perspective), plus how to scout teams. Great stuff. Does anyone know of any other websites with similar information, but maybe more specific to particular teams? Or, if you can describe the type of offenses/defensives your favorite team runs, please share. I know there's a ton that can be said here, but I'm just trying to gather as much information as I can about the particular characteristics of various NBA teams.
Fran Fraschilla from ESPN did a piece describing the fundamentals of each offense. Here's the link to the Princeton Offense, on the right-hand side there are links to other commonly used offenses (Triangle offense, motion offense, flex offense etc.)

Yeah that's another one I remember seeing a while back. He breaks it down in a really easy to understand way. Here are some others I found by googling: Offensive Sets of the San Antonio Spurs (2005 Champions) Two Offensive Sets of the Dallas Mavericks
Here's Dave Johnson covering the Princeton offense coach Eddie Jordan uses for the Wizards: http://www.nba.com/wizards/news/princeton_061228.html
I have a coaching blog and each post, I have a new play of the day feature. Earlier this month, I showed a play that I saw the Clippers do a few times this year. You can see it here I usually cover more of the college game as far as plays but much of those can probably be found in the NBA game as well..

Here's a cool page I found at the Mavs NBA.com site. It's "scouting reports" for every team. It's from last season, but still interesting to look at. Scouting Report Archive 05/06
