If Pippen could play, I would have no problem with him taking Barnes' place, but he can not shoot anymore from the looks of the skills competition...

For some reason (I could be wrong) I just don't recall Scottie Pippen being very good his last couple of seasons in the NBA. I am not sure if he would be that great for this team. The Warriors have to decide who they are keeping. Pippen is not going to be a keeper no matter how he plays. So, idk, I am not down with signing Pippen. Since the team may need a PG I would be interested more in Penny Hardaway, but that is kind of sketchy too...

I'd definitely give Pippen a look because he's what we need in Don Nelson's offense. The thinking would be he could help lead the Warriors to the playoffs.

But at his age, you can't expect him to play too many minutes. It sounds like he can go 15 - 20 mins per game, but he doesn't want to do it for a whole season. Thus, he'll be a yearly free agent who comes back towards the end of season every year.

Nah, we can do better than that, but if he can help the Warriors reach the POs this season, then why not give him a look? He can take Barnes spot.

I just don't know Pippen will help any club at this point. His retirement wasn't exactly Elway like to begin with. Then, he didn't play competitive basketball for last two+ years, and he is quite old now. At this point, I would rather rely on Barnes than Pippen...

Also the addition of Pippen means less Azubuike. And I like Azubuike's game and production. I think Pippen does some good things POSSIBLY with a team like the Lakers or the Suns maybe. I don't know about with the Warriors.

Yeah, I mean it would be nice when Pippen had some good moments, but everyone struggles, and just imagine what it will look like when Pippen is struggling -- that'll suck the gusto right out of the oracle.

Better let Barnes be the villain [IMG]

Man, what a boring trade deadline, unless of course, it's all being reported later.

Are trade deadlines this slow when we're in transition from an old collective bargaining agreement to a better new one?

Sorry, CR2 -- nothing will be "reported" (forget about Pietrus/Foyle for AK47).

Even if they haven't worked out the details, they must announce their intentions to the league by the deadline, and then it gets leaked within a few hours. Any "late" sleepers would have come through by 3:00 PST probably.

Oh well. JRich brought some serious life to this team against the Grizz. I guess GS is just going to ride the small-ball train (and build their entire castle on the foundation that is Andris Biedrins) and see how far it takes them...

My brother has club level seats for the Warriors at Clippers tomorrow.... WOO!!!!!
