I personally like Durant better than Oden, Oden has been good, not great IMO. Shotblocking has been GREAT but hasn't dominated on rebounding or shown any offensive skills at all (unless dunking is a skill). Maybe he'll have some more offensive moves once he gets the flexibility back in his hand but so far I've seen nothing really there.

Durant is averaging 23.4 ppg, 10.9 rpg, 1.8 apg, 1.9 bpg, 1.5 spg on 49% FGs, 85% FTs, and 39% 3 pt FGs compared to Oden's 14 ppg, 9 rpg, 4 bpg. Durant has been absolutely nuts, like Garnett or Nowitzki in Bosh's body. He'll be a stud on both sides of the ball.

He said he may not come out.

I just showed you the stats. Horford owned Oden and Noah probably outplayed him too, but it doesn't really matter, since Noah/Oden didn't matchup at all. I would take 2 boards and 3 assists then 1 more block, which is why I said Noah takes Oden.

Oden dominated the Volunteers tonight 24 and 15, damn.

I'd say there's a 90% chance at this point that if Greg Oden declares, he'll be the number one pick. The only reason it's 90 and not 100, is that Kevin Durant has been very impressive this season and is making a case for himself.

From all the comparisons J_Ray listed, he forgot the closest one Kevin Garnett.

a lot of you are saying these things about oden but forgetting that he doesnt even have the full use of his strong hand yet, he doesnt have as much experience as durant (not that durant has a lot more, but still), and oden has more go to guys on his team than durant which brings his numbers down a bit.

You already said that, so I didn't add it in [IMG]

I think Durant is more of an effective perimeter player than Garnett though

It can't be said enough. [IMG] I agree Durant has a better jumpshot than KG at the same age. KG didn't really develop a jumper until later in his career.

Anyone catch Kevin Durant's monster game last night? He was making clutch 3's to keep Texas in the game and was getting it done on both ends of the court. He finished with 37 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 blocks.

The game last night was crazy. If I'm the Philadelphia 76'ers, Memphis Grizzlies, or Boston Celtics right now, I'm feeling pretty good even with the number two pick.

The thing that jumps out at me about Durant is that he uses his monster long arms so well on the defensive end. One can argue that he's more polished hitting the mid-range shot and on the defensive end than most 3's in the NBA right now. Some compare him to T-Mac, but I don't see it. He is long and thin like Tracy, but Durant can knock down the mid-range shot. The Garnett comparison isn't far off.

Both Durrant and Oden are both very young right now and its hard to pick whos going to be the better player down the road. However I actually think who gets picked number one will depend on what team has the number one pick. For instance, i dont see why the sixers would pick oden over durrant if they got the number one pick. But the grizzlies would probably pick oden over durrant because they already have rudy gay and gasol playing forward. so i think it just might depend on what team is making the pick.

I think Durrant is going to be a spectacular player in the NBA down the road but Oden is too good to pass up. He's dominating games while only having the use of his off hand. He's a 7' footer with awesome defensive skills. Durrant could end up being a superstar as well but a center like Oden is too good to pass up.

Oden or no Oden, Durant may sneak up to the spot. He`s getting comparisons of T-Mac and KG.
