Wow. I don't have much time so I'll keep it short. Terrific win by the Lakers. Sasha Vujacic played like a completely different player tonight, scoring 16 points and hitting a clutch 3 in the end of the game to give the Lakers a 2 point lead
Great game. This Laker team is for real. I think what impresses me most is the trust everyone has in each other. Giving it to Sasha freakin' Vujacic, down by one with 28 seconds left? That takes trust...and a lot of balls. Can you imagine how good we'll be once Lamar and Kwame come back? I can barely contain the excitement.

Hmmm....Guess you didn't see Sasha was money tonight the whole game, and even if he wasn't, I'd still want him to shoot the ball. Either him or Kobe.

I can think of at least three or four other players I'd pick over him on any given night. He was good tonight, don't get me wrong. I just think the reputation he's built over the past couple years supercedes his performance on one night, but that may just be me. I'd be wary of passing it to him in that situation.
Can't say Sasha would be the person I want taking the shot, but, to his defense, he is a great shooter. Anyways, huge win by the Lakers. I really think this team is legit and can really beat anyone in the playoffs if they can play as a team. However, we still need Lamar and Kwame.
I'm surprised Terry didn't get mad and lose his cool and get Vujacic'ed! But Sasha played great tonight, he found good rhythm with his shot tonight and played pesky defense. Turiaf like always came out with a lot hustle, Kobe came alive in the 4th Q., and Smush had a great block at the end to hold the lead and the win. Our bench is deep, can't wait to get Kwame and Odom back
Sasha has such a beautiful stroke, in my opinion he is the best pure shooter on the team, and once he builds confidence, he will be deadly in game. I would love for him to always shoot it, even if he is 0/5, BUT I think I'm the only Laker fan that feels like that. I honestly think it was the old ball that was affecting his shot.......ok maybe not completely responsable. Either way, SHAPECITY EAT YOUR HEART OUT!!! I hope no one goes "Pshhh, one game, let's see another game like this" This was a HUGE game and I'm glad he decided to bring his A game tonight. What people need to realize is he's a bench player and it's hard for rookies to come off the bench (ESPECIALLY shooters) and make all their shots. Give Sasha some time fellas, he will come around, I promise you. I don't care what anyone says about his defense, I like it. It definitely has flaws, but he gets the job done in annoying the opponents, which eventually puts them off their game sooner or later. PROPS SASHA!!
That was one hell of a game, I only caught the 4th, but still, simply awesome. Despite all the crap I talk on Sasha, he came up huge tonight. I still don't expect anything big from him until he can consistently string games together where he shoots the ball well. Smush Parker's block was incredible. That was the play of the night right there.

<div class="quote_poster">Bahir Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">What happened?</div> okay, so Luke makes an AWESOME save and throws the ball of a Mavericks player leg, and while he is falling out of bounds he lands on the Mavericks bench. THEN, he decides to do a little subtle dance, THEN put his hands around the two mavericks players shoulders. It was hilarious, I rewinded a couple times, too good. P.S. YourNewChef, CJ from CL forum made it, I can't take the credit =)
Missed this game dammit. Sasha. One game doesnt make him a winner. Just glad he showed up tonight to play. Good win for the Lakers. Hopefully this trend will continue with Sasha because the Lakers just extended his contract and he doesnt seem to be going anywhere soon. haha
I knew it was going to take something special to win the game, little did I know it would be a Sasha 3-pointer! Haha, just kidding, as I've said before, we can beat any team on any given night if we play right.

He's never been able to find his shot since coming into the league. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">What people need to realize is he's a bench player and it's hard for rookies to come off the bench (ESPECIALLY shooters) and make all their shots.</div>Too bad Sasha is no longer a rookie. He's been in the league for a few years now and still hasn't panned out to what he could have been and still could be. We've been waiting a few years now for him to learn some consistency and it hasn't happened, so what's to make us think it will? I realize he had a great game, but lets let him string a few together and play some consistent basketball before we jump to conclusions. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Give Sasha some time fellas, he will come around, I promise you. As I stated, he's been in the league a few years now, and for him to not even come close to his potential has been irritating. Now, despite this, I'm not discrediting Sasha. He had a huge game and hit a huge shot. However, I just want to see him string together some games where he finally can show some consistency and hit his shots. Is that too much to ask?
<div class="quote_poster">dallasdude Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Its all Dan Crawford's fault. Mavs will never win as long as that dude officiates.</div>Instead of blaming the official, why not blame your defense? Crawford wasn't the one that let the Lakers shoot 55% from the floor, the Mavs defense was. And how can you blame the officials when you guys only went to the line two less times (21 to 23 FTA) and was blown for only one more foul? Doesn't make much sense to me.
I cannot believe the night Sasha had, maybe getting popped in the eye helped his jump shooting ability. He was confident with the shot and didn't hesistate like he normally does. Props to this Laker team coming together and pulling off a big win at home against an elite Dallas team. The Lakers are making plays when they need to, and the defense has been fantastic down the stretch. I love the way Kobe is playing, he's understanding when to attack and when to facilitate. The chemistry is definitely there for the Lakers, and the offense is unstoppable when everyone is moving and cutting. The Lakers are putting pressure on a defense, because you can no longer double team Kobe or the post player without getting burned, and the Lakers put a lot of scorers on the court who are tough to stop one on one. One area the team still needs to improve on is turnovers. We still have some careless ballhandling mistakes and the guards get caught in the air trying to make a pass.
