For what its worth the Triangle offence is way way more complicated than a run and gun offence thus harder for players to learn it

Huh? Do you mean kobe will get the MVP, Reach the Finals and get the Finals MVP?

    <div class="quote_poster">Omarion Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">The Suns have played 33 games, Amare has played 32.

If you are talking about the first 6 games of the season, where Amare only had 1 game where he played more than 25 minutes.

Games where Amare played less than 26 minutes:
Loss:They lost to a hot Utah team by 4 pts.
Loss:San Antonio by 5 pts in SA.
Loss:Clippers by 6 pts in LA.
    Win: Clippers by 8 pts.
    Win: Memphis by 9 pts.

The other game where Amare played 35 pts, the lost to Dallas by 7.

So although they went 2W-4L, it was against 3 of the best teams (SA, Dallas, Utah) in the West, and the losses were pretty close.</div>

What no credit to the lakers for that other lose? LOL [IMG]

When Amare got healthy = they went on their huge run.

Without Amare lighting it up like they were, the suns pretty much sucked. (no offense)</div>

You sh1tting me? As far as I can remember, Suns are the same team that eliminated Lakers in playoffs WITHOUT Amare. I give a lot of credit to Nash.

Personally i thought the first few games w/ Amare coming back from injury (and struggling), he was more of a burden to the suns success rather than being the key to it. IMO, the suns would have been fine w/out him.

that one dude said the suns didnt start winning until amare was healthy????? how about all last season man? the suns had a bad start, but the games were all extremely close and came down to the end..every close game requires a little luck, and they just werent getting lucky.

Well sure, but the Lakers weren't a top tier team last year.

As far as I can remember, nobody predicted us to take the Suns to 7 games

Same here. As far as I remember, most people wrote us off in 5 or 6 and never expected us to push the much more taletned Suns team to the brink of elimination.

If Dallas wins over 60 games again and get the best overall record I highly doubt that Dirk fails to get It.

Although Kobe is having his best ever season. Lakers would need to win 52-55 games I feel.

We're well on our way to getting 50 odd wins. Currently, we're nearly half way there and we've been cursed with the injury plague. I think we'll get around 52 wins this season.

Something to also consider was our favorable schedule in the 1st half of the season. The Lakers have played a lot of games at home, and our strength of schedule is more difficult in the 2nd half of the season. I am encouraged by our 7-7 road schedule, and there were a few games we let slip by. I predicted this team would win 50 games this year, and they are on pace to reach that goal.

In my opinion, the bottom line is this: Kobe is having his best year this year, and if he and the Lakers keep it up, he deserves MVP. However, that doesn't mean he will get it. There are other guys who are also having great years and whose teams are even better. Namely Nash and Nowitzki. Wade is also having a great year, and if the Heat make a big run with Shaq back, he will also need consideration. At this pont though to already come to the conclusion that one guy (Nash or Kobe) deserves it is ridiculous

Yea oops, sorry about that. I looked at Novembers first 6 games where Amare played less than usual minutes. I assumed October was all pre-season and was wrong.

The Suns were also the team that were suppose to walk ALL OVER the Lakers in the playoffs even without Amare which they didnt.

Dirk has stack(guy with exp), j terry, howard
Nash has amare, marion, barbosa, diaw
wade? wade CANT carry the Heat without shaq... he can only help them be at .500
Duncan has parker, ginobli, finley(guy with exp)
Boozer? or even Deron? have each other, AK, Mehmet, Fisher (guy with exp)

Name an MVP candidate aside from kobe that
    1. Has a Winning record (around 8 wins more than their loses)
    2. Does not have all - star's for team mates
    3. Shares the ball

IMO lebron and kobe are the top 2 choices ryt now with neither being above the other why?
    Who does lebron have?
Hughes- never been an all star, injury prone
    Big Z - Old, Slow
    Gooden - Consistent (thats it)
    Varejao - are you kidding?
Damon Jones - The chinese shoe endorser

    Who does kobe have?
Lamar - whose is emotionally unstable ryt now
    Kwame - Injured again?
    Bynum - 18 years old!
Evans - Exchanged for a 2nd rd pick
    Farmar - A Rook!
Walton - His dad's Bill [IMG]
Radman - has yet to do anything
Cook - Cooks his own food lol kidding [IMG]

Anyway, Kobe and Lebron really are the MVP's of their team take them away and what do you get?
    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Oh yeah i Forgot Tmac... well im too sleepy to add him up... its obvious why anyway [IMG]

If the Lakers will end up with a good record and if Kobe continues his superb game, why not ?
But I still don't believe that Kobe will get that MVP award...

And why are we only talking about Kobe & Nash. Dirk is great, so is LeBron. Many guys (but not me) said that Wade WILL win MVP this season, hell no !
We have to wait for the 2nd half of the season and then we can say something.

Still, I think when Lamar returns, Kobe will change his game JUST to get a better record for his team. He is far from selifsh. He is absolutely a team-first type player. Last season and atm, scoring is all he can do to get the W. And he's putting up great RPG and APG, too.
