Anyone know if any progress has been made on this front? How much do you think he's worth?

I love the guy. I think he's as important to our success as anyone except Kobe. His unselfish play, do-what-it-takes attitude is a real asset in my opinion, and players of his mold seem to be a dying breed in the NBA.

I think we'd be getting a steal on him if we're able to sign him for $5 million per season. I'd probably be willing to pay a little more for his services. I'm just afraid he'll be inclined to walk after his stellar season.

I posted another thread about Laker extensions, I'll reiterate it here. The Lakers are budgeting Luke Walton for about the same price they paid Radman. They own Walton's Bird Rights, so they won't have to use the MLE on him, and can match any offer he gets from another team.

A lot of teams don't have cap space this summer, and the ones who do have it, probably wouldn't waste it to sign Luke.

Signing him for $5M to $6M is reasonable. They also said Luke might sign for less to remain a Laker, because he likes living in Cali.

I don't think Luke is going anywhere in the off-season. He has played terrifically in the last couple of seasons, and I know that Phil Jackson will be pissed if Luke Walton doesn't return. Luke Walton was born and raised in SoCal so he has been living around LA his whole life. With that being said, I doubt he decides to go elsewhere unless someone offers him superstar type money, which won't happen

Yeah, Luke's family live in San Diego so it's not a surprise he loves being in cali. The weather is nice here, the food, and of course the girls are hot lol.

Luke deserves the MLE around 5-6 mils/season. Also you can count that Luke isn't going anywhere, maybe the exception of Boston Celtics since that is his childhood favorite team.

Luke Rules. I'm sure he'll be back in LA next season.
