The Raptors are the hottest team in the Atlantic division right now - although, that's not saying much - and, with the return of some injured players, are looking to solidify their division lead. The next few games, with two against division rivals, are both winnable and important and the Raptors will look to translate their home court success to a few road wins.

This is a frontcourt that absolutely needs to be taken advantage of. With the injury to Nenad Krstic, the Raptors will need some solid production from their big men to offset the inevitable production from the Nets' "Big 3." Chris Bosh will need to set the tone early.

    1) I edited the records shortly after.
    2) 10th day of the 1st month. I probably should've switched the numbers around.
    3) He's missed his last two games, because of a strained lower back but is expected to play tonight.
    4) Difference of opinion, but probably not.
    5) Don't really know who she is, but she gets the job done.

The records are inaccurate? They are what nba.com/standings say

Yay a Raptors vs. Nets game that isn't on Raptors TV!

I think the big stretch of RapsTV games is either over or almost over.

This game is really crucial for us. I really want us to blow out the Nets so the pt differential is big if we lose the 4th Raps vs. Nets game we will still win a tie-breaker with the Nets.

Right now the Raps vs. Nets series is 1-1, and Raps have a 1 pt differential advantage I think.

    7) You're better off using the images from ESPN.com player profiles since the backgrounds are actually the same color

    8) I hate watching the Nets on TV, especially on a Raptors broadcast...the color looks so weird.

Big game for us, we have to get this one. We always seem to get close to .500 and then lose 2-3 in a row.

You people are so picky with the preview, it was done very well, leave it at that unless its a major error.

I predict Raptors will take the cake if they can keep Kidd from getting hot.

Brian Heany and Norma Wick are the absolute worst basketball analyst combo EVER!

Nets up 10-0 against the Raps so far. Nets now up 24-9 with 3 minutes left in the first.

Raps bench played well, outproducing the Nets bench 15-2.

The quarter finished on a great Mo Pete 3, finishing it at Nets 24, Raps 19.

Interesting quarter. Worth noting that Lawrence Frank has made fun of Sam Mitchell for being a bad coach a few times ... not sure if he can talk until the Nets have no J Kidd on the roster. Calderon is playing well but he's doing what you have to do against New Jersey which is attack the basket. Fred Jones should get some burn on this one considering that's his speciality.

    Edit: Half-time now:

Violet Palmer needs a new job. That play where the nets put the ball off parker out of bounds the player was clearly over the back.

I'm not sure what to say about this game other than Mitchell's rotations strike me as funny. I don't understand why were using guys like Calderon to guard Carter when we should be using Peterson or Graham. Those guys are good at playing pesky defense and can play Carter physical, which is what will prevent him from going off like he is right now.

It's great that Bargnani's 3 pointers are keeping us in the game but I'd really like to see some ball movement and more attacking the basket. Also from Andrea's standpoint he's capable of doing much more than shoot 3's. His face up isn't working but he has good hands so why not have him run some cuts off the ball?

I have to say when you see Calderon go off for what basically amounts to 12 points off layups how low an iq some NBA players have. I mean Calderon does this to practically every team, he's not exceptionally quick like TJ, all he does is keep his head up and turn the corner. It must be in every scouting report available what he does. Teams are failing to defend a layup, sad.

This game eerily resembles our season opener against the Nets. Bosh is struggling, Ford is struggling and we're basically waiting for someone to get hot from downtown. If it wasn't for Bargnani, we'd be out of this game by the mid-3rd quarter.

Collins shut down Bosh. Ford stunk. We gave up way too many easy shot opportunities. We sucked even though we were in it for most of the game.

    Sigh...

TJ looked a little bummed on that ankle he's obviously not playing 100%. That aside it was a disappointing game. The matchups we had trying to guard Carter were terrible.

What the hell happened to Rasho? He's 7 feet tall, gets rebouds, and makes it easier for every other player on the court. Did we just forget he's a large part why we were successful for the ten games Bosh was out? Sam Mitchell needs to get a grip the coaching job this game was terrible.

Also, I thought Joey Graham did a decent job and got screwed to the bench for the rest of the game. God i can't wait for next year.

why do some of u insist on apologizing for this team? tj ford forced it and repeatedly made terrible decisions. bosh had no energy, save the last 6 minutes of the game and as usual- he never swung the ball when he was double teamed. moreover, he again was totally defensively flabbergasted by the pick and roll, something nobody criticizes him for around here.

as for smitch- he didn't have his team prepared to play on both ends. to that end, going big against a perimeter orientated team just reinforced to me that this guy doesn't have a clue. although, the players, particularly chris bosh have to shoulder most of the blame. btw, isn't chris bosh reminding you more and more of vince carter? he seems to be laughing incessantly on the sidelines even when he's losing and he's always bitchin about his injury woes.

So here's the #'s from earlier in the season.
    1st loss to New Jersey:
Rasho: 10 minutes .. raptors out rebounded 52-38
    2nd game, win at home
Rasho: 37 minutes. Raptors / Nets 45 rebounds each.
Tonight: 10 minutes for Rasho ... hmmmm

Getting killed on the boards tonight was a disgrace

I agree with you on going small somewhat. I still think we needed Rasho in the game but other than that I don't like the idea of having Bargnani and Garbo chasing NJ swing men around the court.

I'm not appologising for bad play but Ford's ankle was clearly bum, i'm not going to write him off completely. He was just trying to play the way he does when he's full strength. That's no excsue for the rest of the players.

Terrible game.... but hey u gotta love the NBA. one game u show up, one game u dont. You cant win them all. ....
I blame everyone tonite, except Calderon. Sam did a terrible job tonite, but he's still learning.
Suggestions: Sit TJ Ford next 2 games, Bucks and Celtics. We dont need him for those games. Rest that ankle and come back at home next week ready to play.
The next two games should be gimmies. Dont worry guys, we are headed to the playoffs, and we gonna get past the first round as long as we dont get CAVs in the first round.
