What are you talking about man? The guy prides himself on being in shape and is a hard worker. He's always has been big, so you can't say he's juiced up just for this year. What does acne got to do with anything btw [IMG]

People that don't juice also can break out.

Why would he juice up? He hasn't gotten any bigger, and its not like roids help you become a better player.

hey, it's not impossible. he does look a bit more pumped, he does have acne, and his numbers are off the charts......I wouldn't be surprised.

Steroid side effects can be anything from genital damage, acne, aggressiveness, etc. However, did it ever occur that he's playing basketball and that the constant sweating could attribute to that acne breakout? Steroids cannot make a basketball player better at the sport, Carlos is just having a breakout year. Finally too, he's making up for his price tag over the last few seasons on Utah.

Too bad the NBA doesn't test for doping more often.

if you're on the juice you're less vulnerable to injuries, which carlos has been for the last 2 seasons. and it can make you a better ball player....increased strength to bang the boards which his numbers are through the roof....increased self confidence which sure as hell helps with anyones game, shooting, rebounding, overall play....increased energy which in turn leads to more passion in each game. also if i've been injury prone the last 2 seasons i'd also be looking for something "extra"

Self confidence is a no. An uncle of mine used to be on roids and he was always known for being overwhelmed and depressed. He also told me that many of the friends he had at his gym were the same way. Energy is also a no. Steroid abusers become tired quickly, usually after muscle shows alone they're dead tired from flexing. I remember a few pro wrestlers being quoted about their steroid abuse and they mentioned that they often become exhausted after a few minutes. Notice the lag in many matches, often the guys taking rests pretending they're hurt every few minutes.

Loss of lobido which roids causes 70 percent of the time always causes the abuser to become depressed. Injury prone is in question. This one guy who went for the World muscle man competition years back used to be a regular at the gym and he was on roids. His doctor informed him that most of his muscle tears came from steroid abuse. He eventually stopped because his problems started to become permanent and he was forced to retire before he was able to really go far and contend. My Mom bumped into him years later and since he was off roids his body form was skinny and pale. He also had female appearance breasts, which are also a side effect of the drug. I couldn't imagine how freaky that must've looked.

The only thing is that yes his strength on the boards are getting his numbers up. Perhaps it is that he is often in the gym? Karl Malone is a perfect example of staying in perfect condition. He was always working out, was very powerful with huge numbers every season in his prime. You don't think he was on steroids for 12+ years when his numbers skyrocketed?

Anyway I respect your opinion, I just have my own experiences to go by for this topic is all.

Yea, if I was Boozer I wouldn't do steroids, because he has to do random drug tests throughout the year, and if he got caught he would be suspended and it would discredit him a lot. I think there are 3 or 4 random tests a season, so he probably has had one by now, not sure though. He makes a lot of money and I don't know if he would be willing to give it up. Anyways the guy has always been a beast when healthy from what I remember.
