Turiaf misses but gets his board. Kobe is going to the line, gets the blocking foul on John Lucas. Kobe hits both the free throws, he's got 10 points.

Why is Bynum on the bench, he's played an AWESOME game so far.

Hayes misses a prayer. Kobe for three, finally misses, just short.

Battier gets the nice layup, should've been an And 1.

Farmar with the beautiful move and scoop layup.

    Radman misses the long three.

Head shoots an air ball on the three.

TIMEOUT! 37-32 Houston. We've got to get Bynum back in there.

McGrady with the nice dunk, pick and roll killed us.

Walton with the dunk and 1 over Mcgrady! Beautiful, that was the most passion Walton's shown in about a game and a half. He converts the free throw, Lakers down by two.

    Battier misses his three.

The ball is out of boudsn of of Mutombo's foot. Kobe will go to the FT line on the hold by Battier, who's got three fouls now. Kobe misses his first FT of the night, strokes the second one. Haha, they just focused on Mutombo running, it was funny.

Foul on Brian Cook. Second team foul with 3 minutes to go. McGrady hits the beautiful runner through the lane.

Defensive three second on Tracy McGrady. Kobe knocks down the free throw and the Lakers are taking the ball out of bounds. Bynum mucles the ball in, despite Dikembe having a huge portion of the ball.

McGrady misses the shot, ball goes out of bounds, timeout.

Ok fellas, I'm done playing e-commentator. My girl is on her way over, I'm going to go throw some chicken tenders in the oven and watch a movie with her.

In the second half, we need to feed the post more. Bynum's working Mutombo beautifully, we need that to continue.

If we can keep this close, there is no reason why we shouldn't win this game.

    LET'S GO LAKERS!!!

Have fun Mamba. lol. Anyways, nice way to finish out the half, well sort of if you consider Kobe running out the clock. I hope McGrady is alright. He looked a bit shaken up. As much as I want us to get the upper hand, it would suck if he got injured yet again

Lakers are giving up way too many open threes. Luckily for us, Bynum just got an And 1

Most worthless players on the squad:

    Brian Cook
    Vladamir Radmanovic

All they do is shoot the ball. If their shots aren't falling, we might as well be playing 4 on 5 since they don't do jack. At least Brian Cook has had a couple of nice games this season, Radmanovic has been a complete waste of the MLE thus far. I was willing to give Radmanovic a benefit of a doubt in the beginning, since everyone was saying his hand was injured and ect. In the beginning, at least Radman was making some hustle plays, and he was giving it his all on defense. Now the guy is just a worthless pile of sh*t. I have no idea why he doesn't just go take surgery. It's not like he's helping us at all by being on the court

From what I've seen of Radman it's like where is the Radman that was on the Clippers? Do you think he's intimidated by the pressure of playing for a real franchise?

He's not intimidated. I don't think Radman "sucks." It's just that the guy has an injured hand. He should have been smart and gotten surgery on it, instead, he's going to play out this season and have the surgery in the offseason. I wouldn't mind his decision if he was at least halfway decent on the court. But the guy isn't worth crap. He's a shooter with an injured hand, so he's basically worthless. Like I said, in the beginning of the season, he was at least making hustle plays and trying his best on defense. Now, all he does is stand there, waiting for a shot that he will miss. I have absolutely no idea why he just doesn't go get surgery right now. His shot has been so horrible that everytime he shoots the ball I automatically know it's going to be a miss

I was at the game tonight, and I'll have to say that was the worst defensive effort I have ever seen. Absolutely horrible. I'm out!

We've been lousy on defense all season long, Lakers are ranked 21st in defensive efficiency, we're probably worse after these last two games. This was our 5th game in 7 days, so I didn't expect the Lakers to show up for this game either.

Lakers just need to take care of business in their next two home games versus Orlando and Miami. If we can maintain our 10 game above .500 cushion until Lamar and Kwame return, we'll be in position to grab the 4th or 5th seed.

The Lakers need help on the glass, because we're giving up far too, many offensive rebounds. 16 tonight, 14 last night, if you can't rebound you can't win.

    Amazing effort tonight by Mutombo.

The Lakers were just probably tired playing back to back and were up against the inspired Rockets team.

Any plans by the Lakers to get Webber?

He fits right into the scheme of things! Overpaid, over the hill players who can't play defense!

    Unbelievable!

As for Radman, he isn't a bad player. He's got an injured tendon in his shooting hand, which is a very painful injury. Brian's right, he should've gotten surgery earlier, but Phil didn't want him to. Also, the triangle offense is extremely complicated, remember how long it took Odom to learn? Factor that plus an injury to the only valuable part of Radman's game, and he's going to struggle. If he plays like this next year, than I can say for 100% that he's a fluke, but now, I just can't commit to that.

    We Want Oden!

Why does everyone say that the triangle is extremely complicated? Stop making up excuses for players, because it's not! It only takes enough basketball IQ to know how to react to how the defense is playing you. Every NBA player should have some clue about that.

It's not rocket science, but the difficulty lies in the players seeing the same defensive reads and making the right decision within the offense. It takes time for all the players to be on the same page. Each play has moves and counter moves, depending on what the defense gives you. There's an adjustment period for any new player to come in and fit the system.

Webber has the skillset to thrive in the offense, he has the mid-range jumper, post moves, and is a great passer, but there's not a lot of time for him to practice and catch on.
