I started new topic. Turns out he did eventually sit down and talk with Mike McCarthy which I was happy to read. The fact that he told his step dad to say if he's forced to come in he'll be like a cancer to the Packers. I think that's the worse possible statement he could make... <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>?He said, ?It has nothing to do with you,?? Goldsmith said. ?All that stuff on the field when they score touchdowns and they?re high-fiving, that?s for show. He just doesn?t want to play with him anymore.</div> His feelings about Favre http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=411548 Not sure how reliable of the source but I did know he had his step father talk about the situation this week and I think this may be the interview. None the less if people can call Chad Johnson a diva WR for crying on field after a lost, celebrating a TD, and talking trash I think Walker has to be put in that category.. I really don't think either or are bad guys both come off immature to me but I'll take Johnson over Walker but maybe it's just because I'm a Packer fan and I feel a little disgruntled about the cancer statement. Funny though Kampman got a long term deal and so did Bubba Franks. Both were free agents at the time..
If someone was going to offer a lot for Javon Walker i would think that it would have to be the 49ers. They are trying to develop Alex Smith, and he has no weapons. I think a 3rd round pick would be good for Javon because he still has that ACL injury

I think he wants like a 3rd and a 4th at the very least for him. That'd be my guess from what he's saying.
If i thought I could sign him to a decent deal, Id give up a 1st for the guy....bring him down to Miami and put him next to Chambers....

LMAO Of course he hates farve. Anyone who is a big block of cheese can see he is a selfish JERK! Thats why he waits so long to decide retirement. Thats why he calls out his teammate who wants to get paid, when he has 100 million dollar contract. His huge ego obviously thinks that it is him who makes walker succesful.
Porky, I'm glad you linked your source, because you left out some pretty valuable information. If your going to quote Walker, why not use all of the qoute besides the cancer remark. ?He doesn?t want to do like ?T.O.? (Terrell Owens) did and cause a big disturbance. He doesn?t want to do what Mike McKenzie did. We really tried to handle this very professional. I talked to Ted (Thompson). He talked to McCarthy. Kennard (McGuire) talked to both of them. We talked to Andrew (Brandt). And they just refused.? Goldsmith didn't do a very good job of articulating Walker's slapping high fives with Brett by saying that "it's for show." If Javon is celebrating, what is he supposed to do if Favre runs up to him? Ignore him? Wouldn't that be devisive? No, he just goes along with it for the better of the team, just like he did when he reported to camp last year, rather than holdout. But again, we were only given half of the quote. ?Last year, Brett Favre did something that I thought was wrong. I wish someone would tell Brett, ?What if someone blasted one of your daughters on national TV? What would you do?? ?He didn?t even pick up a phone as a leader and call Javon. Never has he once called Javon. He didn?t have to go to the media." However, Goldsmith did do a fine job of articulating the shabby job the Packers' front office has done in handling this problem. As much as Favre?s words stung last spring when Walker was preparing to hold out with two years left on his deal, Goldsmith said lack of response by management might have poisoned his stepson?s relationship with the team even more. ?I told Ted you could have just come out with a statement and said, ?Brett does not speak for the team. We just handle all these matters internally,?? Goldsmith said. ?But I told Ted, ?You said absolutely nothing. How can you sit up there and let a player rip another player and then expect him to come back and expect him to be best of buddies and win together?? That?s not the real world. ?Who?s running the team? Does Brett run the team or does Ted run the team?? Javon Walker isn't a bad guy. He's a guy who's tired of being screwed by the front office and teammates like Favre. Sure, he made a comment about being "a cancer," but he's frustrated and he's blowing off some steam. I might be using stronger language if I were in his shoes. This thread does a great job of resembling how he's being treated in Green Bay. Everyone is casting stones at his character and those stones are made up of half truths slanted to make him look bad. I certainly don't blame him for going to the media to tell his side of the story. It's obvious that no one in the Packers' front office cares anything about this guy except for what they can get out of him for as little as possible.

It's obvious that no one in the Packers' front office cares anything about this guy except for what they can get out of him for as little as possible.</div> I did read the article. He did say he'll be cancer. I posted the 2 quotes I thought were the most interesting in terms of my team. I posted the link so you could read the article entirely. I don't know what he exactly has in mind and neither do you. You can like the guy for all you want. I'm sure he's not a bad guy but again I don't think you handle this situation like he?s doing.. Green Bay isn't making Walker look like a bad guy either. There not commenting on anything. In fact all Ted Thompson has said is he won't trade Walker. Wow that's really making Walker look terribly bad. That shows we need him. Yeah being needed makes you look horrible doesn?t it? They didn't redo his contract. That's really handling the situation terribly.. He's due 1.15 mill this year. I think he can make due. None the less I don't blame him for asking for more money but was Philly wrong for not giving TO money??? Was Green Bay wrong for not paying Mike McKenzie more money???? Now I agree that the front office is horrible in Green Bay. I don't know what Ted Thompson is doing. You think I like having my team have 40 mil in cap room and their biggest FA signing is Ryan Picket and Ben Taylor but I'm willing to give the guy running my team the benefit of the doubt over a player.. The cancer statement scares me. I don't know what he means but there isn't any good that can come from being cancer in the lockeroom. That statement means he wants to cause some sort of chaos. Maybe not as severe as TO like daddy said but cancer is cancer. It's all bad... If your condoning him being cancer and you bash Chad Johnson for crying after a lose and celebrating then that's your opinion. I'll take the guy who celebrates a TD over someone who continues to make different threats because he can't get his way. Brett Favre also doesn't run the team.. His step daddy should know that and Ted Thompson apparently is willing to move on without Favre and or Walker. Seeing the Free agent signings this off season shows Thompson is clearly building for the future in my opinion and doesn't want to win now. If Brett Favre was running the team you'd see more free agents here. Favre is as clueless about the organization as Walker is. The fact that even his step father says Walker hatred for the Packers is ridiculous shows Javon wanted his way or the high way in my opinion. I still don't think he's going to get his way. I think he's full of bluffs. His initial statement was I'll retire before I play for Green Bay again. Now if I'm forced to come back I'll just be a cancer... Javon's not a dumb guy.. He's just not a really good liar.
I think anyone who sides with walker on this must be on the same drugs he's on. If it wasn't for favre walker would be nothing, plain and simple. Who does he think he is sterling sharpe or something. These guys should be thankful that they even have bloody jobs, because they would be in seroius trouble if the had to rely on their education!!!!!!!!
Welcome to the forums! And I agree with that statement big time, after all didn't Walker score a 14 on his Wonderlic? That coulden't be too good for him!

"Farve is a selfish guy". Way to go mark, calling a spade a spade, and a cheater selfish.

I'm not. Why? Because the poster, slinging the disparaging comments, is in "seroius" trouble if he's relying on his spelling and grammar skills. If you look at Favre's statistics last year, Javon isn't the only person who should be thanking Favre for employment. Favre's 29 INTs are certainly helping to keep some defensive backs in business.
