Both Davis and McDyess have relatively attractive, short-term contracts that would generate some interest from teams that are seeking veteran, playoff-tested veterans.</div>

I wouldn't mind adding either of these players if Detroit is forced to trade one by acquiring Webber. It's too, bad we don't have the injury exception to use anymore, but we still have McKie's and Shamu's expiring contracts.

Dale Davis would cost $3.5M so he would be affordable if Detroit agreed to take both McKie and Shamu. If the Lakers wanted Antonio McDyess ($5.8M), we'd have to include Chris Mihm.

The Lakers need defensive help and someone to anchor the defense. Dale Davis would bring some toughness to our frontcourt, and McDyess would give us a nice scoring option in the post.

Dice and DD are only available to get a decent PG or swingman in return. The Lakers have nothing the Pistons want. Certainly don't want Mo Evans back.

Pistons aren't moving either less they get a talented swingman back. Hense why Dumars is trying to get Bonzi Wells or Mo Pete.

Obviously they haven't been introduced to the White Mamba, Sasha Vujacic, swingman/PG extraordinare.

I hope the Lakers get in on the Mo Pete sweepstakes. He's the perfect solution for this team right now.
