Well my gut feeling is he wants to come back but he's unsure of how the season will unfold. Last year at this time we were defending divsion champs. Now we're coming off a 4-12 season.

He needs to stop keeping us in suspense. It's either play or Rodgers is up. If he does this again next year... There won't be happy words coming out of my mouth/keyboard.

He never said anything like that. His future was always in questioned. HE never said whether he'd play one, two, or three years. Not until yesterday when he said he'll either retire this year or next year. He's sure he won't play 2 more years.

How do you tarnish a legacy that includes cheating?

I read that he isnt willing to come back unless he feels team can compete. Message to current players: You are losers not good enough to play with me.

This guy needs to go. He is a cancer to the pack. On second thought, He should stay. He is the reason they went 4-12 and if they lose this year, put it on him.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>"It's not about the money and I would walk away from a lot of it. It's about winning football games. I want to come back and win."

Favre said the decision to return lies in the hands of the Packers, who have to get better players and make a commitment to winning.

"I still believe I can play," he said. "But I can't be content being 4-12 again. My concern is how good of a team we can have.

"Last season, expectations were high and it was a bad situation. If we can't compete at a high level, I can walk away."</div>
Let's see, Ted Thompson fired one of the winningest Packers coaches of all-time against Favre's wishes.

Then he hires a Marty Mornhinwig type head coach who has put together a sub-par staff.

Now Thompson has made the team even weaker than last years 4-12 team during free agency so far. The Packers are a lock to remain in the NFC North basement in 2005 with or without Bret Favre, and everybody knows it.

I think Favre is totally pissed about what Ted Thompson has done to the Packers since he came to Green Bay. I just don't see any point at all in Bret Favre returning to Green Bay.

I agree with just about everything you said here, It's rediculous how this man thinks he can win by signing you 3 or 4 bargain bin guys.

Jim Bates should be our Head Coach right now, if he was there is no doubt in my mind that Favre would be offcially on the roster. Mike McCarthy has coached Three of the lowest ranked QB's in the league the last 3 years

The signing I do really Like is Ryan Pickett though(of course I wear scarlet and Gray glasses), He may be an improvement over Grady at NT because of his youth and penetration prowess.

Marquand Manuel hits like a train but can he be interchangeable at the Safety position? I don't know if his coverage skills are good enough to do that(it's required in the Defense we run). I wanted Mark Roman gone at the begining of the season last year but he was one of our most consitent players on D this year and Iv'e noticed he's been used a scape goat for others blown assignments(in a Similar mannor to that of Tyrone Williams). I hope they hold onto Roman and let him compete but judging by the contract TT dished out to Manuel that us highly unlikely.

Ben Taylor may be an improvement simply because of the injury factor that plagued our LB core last year and although I wish we kept Diggs it was apparent the injury bug was biting him, Robert Thomas showed promise last year but once again the injury bug, The same can be said for Brady Poppinga as well. So Taylor should at least provide some needed depth.

Yeah the Packers are clearly building their defense up and hoping that the reason for the offenses poor outing last year was injuries..

"I may stay. I may go." Way to narrow it down, Brett.

Porky, Porky, Porky .... LMAO! .... Anything is possible I guess. That's what I love about this time of year.

Clearly it's Green Bay's turn to hold down their spot in the basement for a few more years at least.

    Am I right?

It is nice as a bears fan to see lions and packers fans argue who is not the worst.
