Artest is a better rebounder, defender, and overall player than RJ, but he would argue too much about being the first option.

I think they should at least consider it.

I don't know how JKidd and Carter would work out with Artest, if they are afraid that there will be a power struggle then Jefferson would be better to keep because he is willing to delegate to be a 2nd or 3rd scorer on the team.

Artest wouldn't make us better, if not worse.

^Why say that? It`s not like the Nets are the greastest defensive team.

But it's not like RJ is a defensive liability. Ron is better, and probably can guard some PFs, but RJ's defense is just fine. RJ is also a more efficient scorer and his injuries are just as prevalent as Ron's. Ron might be the better overall player, but RJ not that far off. Ron is also an easy malcontent who probably just wants to play for the Lakers, and we're far from being LA both as a team and as a place.

That is a pretty good objective analysis I think.

Question: How do you guys know that Thorn did not consider or given some thought to this deal? Do you advice and work with him on the phone lines with other GM's?

Kinda see your point. He is a great player and defender, but on the other hand he can be a jerk and fight with players about being the primary offensive and defensive position.
