<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Perhaps the only person who can prevent Ben Gordon from winning his second Sixth Man of the Year award is Chris Duhon. Coach Scott Skiles admitted Thursday that benching the third-year guard is a fair topic if Duhon's extended shooting slump continues much longer. "We're a team that has become a high turnover team of late, and [Duhon's] assist-to-turnover ratio is very high in the league so we value that," Skiles said. "But Ben already has proven he can start and be productive. He was last year. That's not a question we have to answer. We'll get through [Thursday] and see what happens." Duhon shot 2 of 6 against the Nets with no turnovers. He entered 5 of 38 over his previous six games, including a shockingly inept 1 of 22 on threes. He went 0-for-3 Thursday. Duhon does rank third in the league in assist-to-turnover ratio and is one of the Bulls' best team defenders. Skiles has been reluctant to disrupt Gordon's reserve rhythm. The Bulls' coach started rookie Thabo Sefolosha in two recent games Kirk Hinrich missed because of injury and Adrian Griffin once when Duhon sat with a leg injury.</div> Source
I'm actually hoping this move is made. This will be yet another shot for Gordon to prove he deserves to be a full time starter, and Duhon will be able to run the second team offense efficiently.
We wouldn't really have a spark off the bench if he comes into the starting line-up, and he is a defensive liability, like yesterday. He had to guard Vince Carter and Duhon usually did throughout the game when he was in. I wouldn't mind him starting at all, hopefully he actually succeeds this time when/if he starts.
I think Gordon has proved himself to be a starter. If I were the coach I woulda made the move a long time ago.
