Howard enters off the best game of his career as he looks for a seventh straight double-double when the Magic visit the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday. The 6-foot-11, 265-pound Howard has been the catalyst during the current five-game winning streak for Orlando (22-14). He's added to his Eastern Conference-leading total of double-doubles in every game of the run after notching his 29th in monster fashion in a 91-76 victory at Golden State on Wednesday. Howard had a career-high 30 points and a season-best 25 rebounds - one off his career high - to help Orlando end a four-game road skid. It marked his fourth game this season with at least 20 points and 20 boards. "I was nervous," Howard said. "I'm just glad we got the win. ... I've been trying to push myself in practice to get every rebound, every block, trying to score every time and also getting my teammates involved - and try to implement that in a game." The Lakers have won nine straight home games against the Magic, dating back to 1996, and 14 of the last 16 meetings overall after a 106-93 victory on Dec. 29 at Orlando. Howard was limited to 12 points and eight rebounds - the only game of his last 13 he's failed to notch a double-double.</div> Source
Dwight keeps getting fouled; the officials keep calling it on us. I mean, just if it was close to fair, we would win this one.
Hahahahaha, the officials in this game are a f-cking joke. The Lakers shoot a jumpshot every single time, don't get touched-- foul. The Magic take it inside every single time, get hacked-- no foul.
It was supposed to be two shots and the ball for us on that offball foul, but they didn't call that of course.
So you are allowed to rape Grant Hill, but not barely tap Kobe. What a joke. We also should have possession after that, since Dwight didn't have the ball when the foul happened.
This game is fucking ridiculous. This is why people hate the Lakers and Kobe Bryant. Pathetic officiating fucking pisses me off.
Lol, go Kobe! Was it really that bad? I didn't get to watch, but the Magic had more FTA's as a team than the Lakers, and Kobe only had 11 FTA's. From the box score it looks like there wasn't much favortism, also looks like Dwight got hacked a lot.
Dwight missed a ton of FT's. This game would have been won if he had hit more of them. Kobe is not the only one who gets the calls. Wade, Lebron, and all the rest of the superstars do as well. Its what it is. Its the reason I couldn't stand MJ and the Bulls during their run of the 90's.. What can we do about it??

I do understand how Wade and Lebron get jokes too, but they are aggressive driving to the basket, so I don't mind too much when they get the bullshit foul calls against the Magic, because for the most part they were alright. Tonight though, Kobe basically just relied on his jump shot and if he missed a shot down the stretch they would call a foul. This isn't always, I know. I was just fed up though with the way that they treated Kobe to put him to the line a lot down the stretch. Dwight couldn't buy a FT and Kobe was hitting all of his shots down the stretch, that's why the Magic lost. It just seemed that down the stretch though, any questionable call went the Lakers way and the Lakers were allowed to be more physical then the Magic down the stretch. There was one play where Dwight grabbed the rebound, Turiaf ran into him pushed him out of bounds, then grabbed his arm on the way down, took the ball and passed to Kobe who got fouled for an And 1. That and the Turiaf foul was before Dwight had the ball, so it should have been 2 shots and the ball OR a 3 point play. Continuation was way late since Dwight didn't even have the ball when the foul occurred, but it was basically an alley oop, he caught it and right away dunked it. So if you rule that it was a normal foul, then you gotta give him the and 1.
