A woman found to be an illegal immigrant living in Canada needs a heart surgery to prevent death. Today on many call in shows canadian's debated weather or not she should be given the surgery free of charge like the rest of canadians would recieve or be deported. In the past this wouldn't even be a question and she would get the surgery. Also, if she was in immediate danger, ie. heart attack or stroke, there would be no debate as no doctor in canada would ask for a valid health card before performing life saving surgery. But since she is not days from death, and since the surgery waiting list for tax paying canadians is so long, deporting her is actually a senerio. Opinions? personally I think this being Canada, she is a lock to get the surgery. There is no way that the government deports her and she can't afford to pay for the surgery elsewhere.
