I'll agree that Duncan would give the Mavs an interesting look with his inside game, but KG??? He's a second fiddle, and nothing else. Who would be the leader?!? Certainly not KG, who's shown alot of versatility in his game, except leadership ability...Dirk is easily Top 5 because of the matchup problems he causes, but not numero uno... that junk about open threes has to be a joke...he sure doesn't have a problem lighting up Houston with them...largest loss in a Game 7 in history...Clutch City?!? More like Crutch City...get your ball team healthy so you don't have excuses for the beatdown in the playoffs... Dirk does complain a bit, but rightly so...as quoted by Bruce Bowen "If the refs would have let me be as physical as Haslem with Dirk, we would have won the series"...when other players, rivals no less, notice the differences in refereeing, it's too blatantly obvious... anyways, what superstar haven't you seen complain?!?

Dirk is a matchup problem for any team. This year (more than anyother), he has improved his passing to the point that he is actually making his teammates better.

His defense is still a bit shakey, but the Mavs have a team defense concept anyway, and thus his weakness is not as big a liability as some might think.

As for respect, that stuff is earned, and if Dirk can lead his team to a championship this year (like he should've done last year), then he should get the respect he deserves.
