Halftime in the Suns v. Grizzlies game is 76 to 72. These two teams predicate themselves on getting as many shots off as possible in a game. Just out of curiosity, do you favor this open court style more, or grind it out defensive games?
Tough defensive basketball teams are usually boring to watch, but it's usually more effective. I personally prefer the high-paced games when I'm a spectator watching other teams (not the Knicks) play.
I don't care if the games are low efficiency, as long as the reason is good. solid defense and not just crap offense. I like offenses with lots of player movement, lots of assists, and fast breaks. Game with a ton of fouls are ugly to watch, of course.
I think the pace and style the Mavs are playing this season is probably the best in terms of both team efficiency and entertainment for the fans.

That's alway fun to watch. My only criticism about their style of play, aesthetically, is they play a lot of one on one with Terry, Harris, Nowitzki, and Howard. It's successful for them, but I like watch offenses with lots of assists. Lakers, Jazz, and Bulls come to mind. Personally, I think the Spurs offense is fun to watch as well.
I love watching the Mavs play with Steve Nash, don't find them that entertaining anymore. Another one would be the old Kings with Webber and Vlade.
Mavs have been moving the ball more under Avery Johnson this year than in the past. One of Nellie's philosophies with more one on one play is to take advantage of mismatches and cut down on turnovers with less passing.
I love games with much passing and player movement. The Suns are pretty fun to watch when it comes to fast break play, but I like the triangle offense even more. Passing and moving without the ball is much more beautiful in a halfcourt offense, IMO.
I like Lakers basketball but i LOVE Suns basketball, their game is just so entertaining. A lot of three pointers and the fastest pace. Btw, isn't Suns the team who has most assists in a game?
I like games like this. Suns have the most entertaining game-style. Open floor, fast pace, many three pointers and alley-oops. But the most educating one is Lakers basketball. ;D Oldschool pretty much. ;D Suns' style are the main reason why I like 'em so much.
The high scoring type games are usually a lot funner to watch because you know you're in for something special. Kind of like Kobe's 81 or Arenas's 60, unlike in defensive games where players don't get as much recognition as they should if you're a guy like Bruce Bowen who shuts down LeBron James. Watching the Wizards play, it's always a mystery to see how the games go because the Wizards can rack up 120 points easily but with their defense, so can the other team. They've lost games to depleted teams like the Hornets and Nuggets, so you gotta think playing defense, at least during the last two minutes are important to the game.
Coaches usually love good defense, don't they ? Atleast my coach says that good defense is the best offense (fast breaks etc).
Everytime I watch the Suns play, I'm in awe of Steve Nash as a point guard. Some of the passes he does, and the intuituion he has to find teammtes is uncanny. I love watching the Suns play. Whoever hasn't checked out Bill Simmons article yet on the Suns, do so now. It wasn't that good of a article though but I'm sure you Suns fans will appreciate it.
i love the suns style. However, i think you only get really high caliber teams when you have a great, great point guard running them like Magic or Nash.
