<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Bonzi Wells went through Monday's limited Rockets practice, his first since going out with a sore lower back Dec. 29, with no difficulties. A decision will be made about whether to activate him for Tuesday's game against the Mavericks in Dallas after the morning shootaround. "It's tough when you take a few weeks off and try to get back on the court and push it the way Coach (Jeff Van Gundy) wants you to push it," Wells said. "Your conditioning is obviously going to be a factor. I felt pretty good. I had a flu the past couple days after going to Denver, but I sweated it out pretty good the past couple days. I don't know what Coach is going to do as far as me playing or not, but I'm still going to work the next couple days on my conditioning."</div> Source

Whats up with him resting, getting injured, playing ok, then resting and getting injured? Why can't he just friggin play. He again hasn't played in a while or practiced I think, but lets hope that he can bring some firepower from the bench for us. The only way we can get him to play like the old Bonzi is to let him play, but friggin JVG is not letting him play. Whats the reason?

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Coming from a person who supports Chuck Hayes? <div class="quote_poster">Rock4life Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Coming from a person who supports Chuck Hayes? Yea, ok</div> If you have you to resort to ad hominem attacks, you have no business debating in the first place. As a Rocket, Bonzi has been, slow, and a liability on both ends of the court. On the offensive end, he would often fumble the ball on the post (6 turnovers against the clippers). On the defensive end, he was too slow (I guess thats what happens if you don't "run marathons). I was impressed by his play in the previous years, however, unlike you, I don't judge based on my bias views. ON WHAT GROUNDS DO YOU THINK HE WOULD DO WELL, CONSIDERING HIS PREVIOUS PLAY AS A ROCKET WAS ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS? If you didn't think he played bad, you need to get your eyes checked. I don't even know why I bother replying to you. You obviously lack the intelligence to carry out a meaningful debate. Hm, I guess it is easier making ad hominem attacks afterall. Oh yea....I know you hate stats. I mean logic, reason, facts. Who needs them? But just in case you decide to use any of this when you argue, here is something you might find interesting. Bonzi has a career 46% fg percentage and 71% free throw. As a rocket he has 39% fg and 47.8% free throw. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/3254 Oh, I'm sorry, I guess you are right 39% and 47.8% ft is very impressive. I am wrong, HE CAN HIT SOMETHING.

Obcourse Bonzi hasn't played well due to lack of playin time. However he did play well before he got injured, especially in San Antonio. It's funny you criticize him for not bein able to hit shots, when Hayes misses layups every night (but you still support him). Mark my words, BONZI WILL PRODUCE GIVEN PLAYIN TIME. If you don't wanna challenge that, then I don't wanna hear you talk negative about the man. You guys said the same nonsense about Juwan before the season. Now ur underestimating Bonzi the same way. WHEN DOES IT STOP! Now when Bonzi plays great what will ur excuse be? Or will you shift the debate towards me personally? That's ur best bet
<div class="quote_poster">Rock4life Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Coming from a person who supports Chuck Hayes? Yea, ok</div> Your statement is just basically dumb. No other words can describe it. No offense dude. Supporting Chuck Hayes has nothing to do with this. But anyway, I agree with you that JVG should've play Bonzi some minutes to see how it goes. If he plays well, then continues. If not, then give a rest to the man.
<div class="quote_poster">Rock4life Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Coming from a person who supports Chuck Hayes? Yea, ok</div> Some of us actually support ALL of the Rockets players.

Seriously, somtimes I wonder what the hell is going on in that thick skull of yours. WHERE IN MY POST AM I UNDERESTIMATING HIM. Jesus. I am judging him on his performance as a Rocket. If he performs poorly (2.6 turnovers per 21 minutes, which is higher t/o rate then Yao), I will say he performed poorly. Read my post again. I said "Or, if the trend follows his previous play: slow, clumsy, and unable to make shots." I was merely commenting on the fact that he played poorly as a Rocket. If this trend continues , he will play poorly. WHERE DID I STATE THAT HE WILL PERFORM POORLY IN THE FUTURE? LEARN TO READ (and type for that matter, your spelling is atrocious). I am not saying he will play badly. If he plays great, that is great! I will be happy.I am dieing to see the Bonzi I saw in the playoffs. I don't backpedal, and I don't make up stuff (unlike someone I know that posts here). Chuck Hayes has been playing like **** lately and I admit it, (unlike you who went mysteriously silent the first month when JHo was playing horribly), but if you read any of my posts (you tend to read only the things you want to read), you will have noticed my post on how Hayes compliments both Yao and Mac. As you said before, there is no way to win an argument against you. Just like you can't win an argument against someone with Down's Syndrome.

Like any player comin off injuries, his timing was off. As his minutes picked up, he played pretty good. When I call Hayes short, unathletic, and a liability you get emotional But then ur quick to name-call Bonzi, a much better player than Chuck. Ur basketball knowledge isn't anything more than slightly above average and you seem to pick favorites over pure-talent (ex: check the Hayes or Howard thread by durvasa). I'm the only who said Howard would have a big season. I also stated that he would surpass Hayes as a starter. I was the ONLY one who defended Juwan Howard, and now everybody in the league is praising him . Now I'm defending Bonzi, and some of you are unfairly labeling him. The same with Juwan Howard the first month of the season. I vouched for Howard earlier, and now I'm vouching for Bonzi. You vouched for Chuck, and he's playin terrible lol. So good luck.....(but I still think ur unfairly labeling the guy) <div class="quote_poster">foo82 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I am not saying he will play badly. You've already misquoted me multiple times, and I've corrected you. If you really support Bonzi, why would you call him "lazy" or "slow" in his first few games? Bonzi hasn't even had enuff time to get his rythm and you guys are already name-calling. I say let him play and we'll see if he's lazy or not. Aznxballer has already called him a "Fatazz" and now you. But when I call Hayes a "scrub" you guys get emotional It's the same game, but you guys are better at it. <div class="quote_poster">foo82 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">As you said before, there is no way to win an argument against you. This thread has gotten way out of hand. Can anyone just have a debate without throwing insults and provocative smilies into this? Thread locked, and if something like this happens again, infractions will be on the way.
