In the book of Revelations in the Bible, it says during these times the weather would act funny, among other things.
Here in RI it has snowed two times for a grand total of about 2 inches. The usual winter here contains a snow storm once a week, with the usual accumulation of about 2-7 inches. We also usually have 2 or 3 storms that drop 16 or more inches of snow on us during the winter. This winter has been crazy, but I'm loving it. I was driving 55 miles to work everyday for the past three months, so every time it snowed I was ready to lose a day of pay.
Still haven't been able to go snowboarding yet... Usually by now my area would have had a ton of snow. Global warming's fucking up this weather.
Do you all expect the same exact weather patterns every year? Weather is highly unpredictable (how often is your local weatherman right?). Unless you're getting summer in winter, there is no need to worry.
^I think there's need for worry when the temperatures this year in the winter are significantly higher than those in the past. And yes, I would expect similar weather patterns, because those are the ones that we've been experiencing for quite some time.

I think a year or two ago we had one of our worst winters ever, so I'm not incredibly worried. I am pissed though, because the snow will probably stay during the beginning of spring as well. And I like snow during Christmas break.
Global Warming isn't even proven, let alone a 'fact'. Even if proven, the changes would not be so drastic, so quickly.

Here in Calgary, we have the most unpredictable weather. We can have 4 seasons in one day. Like one march morning, it felt like Fall with the leaves blowing and what not, then later in the day it starts to snow. After a bit of snow it got pretty hot, then it rained right after. Also, here, snow comes at the randomest times. It once snowed in mid April here, and the snow was like 2 feet deep.
You all should watch An Inconvenient Truth or read the book by Al Gore. I watched it over discussed the book over the past week in my World Issues class and it's really interesting.
SNOW FOR THE FIRST TIME! finally snowed. frozen road. No delay for my school. had to go take my finals. Got out 1:00 and its sunny now.
