<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Empty seats: Despite the fact that the Eagles season is over and schools were out due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, only 12,380 fans flocked to the Wachovia Center Monday -- the third lowest attendance total of the season.

The Sixers' average of 14,347 fans per game is the lowest in the NBA. Memphis, which hosts the Sixers on Wednesday, is second with an average attendance of 14,895.

Good for us. Hopefully this will finally teach Billy King, and Ed Snider that Sixer fans aren't complete idiots.

Ya know, I`m kinda suprised by this. Sure we have one of the worse records in the NBA, but Philadelphia is a giant sports town. I`m suprised we are actually dead last in attendance despite their are so many die hard fans in the city. Then again, its not like anything is cheap these days, so if your team doesn`t win, your not getting any support.

The 76ers attendance was horrible even before the AI trade. This was going to happen sooner or later, better to have it happen when the draft is filled with future franchise player, than to do it during a weak year.

    ^ your right.

Also I'm not sure how old you guys are but I remember pre AI era. The Shawn Bradley years.

You literally could buy a ticket for 12 bucks and then move all the way down in the first quarter and sit 3 rows directly behind the bench.

The city is diehard sports fans but not for basketball IMO.

The Eagles have die hards good record or not. I think it's mostly cause all the tailgating.

The Phillies good or not will have a ok amount because all of the old timers and parents brining their kids.

The Flyers will always have the middle age crowd that listens to rock music and goes to the bars and stuff that are there main attendance.

I go to the 76ers games and it's such a mixed crowd. Some nights there are a decent amount some there is no one. Even with AI it was dead sometimes. They just don't have that targeted audience like the other Philly sports.

Without A.I, I expect the attendence to stay like this. Maybe they can nab Greg Oden in the upcoming draft.

Without AI, I can see why they don't have the lowest attendance because taking away marquee matchups against superstars like Kobe Bryant or LeBron James are going to make the team matchups boring. I don't think it will last long though, with this upcoming draft being one of the best in years and the Sixers grabbing 3 players out of there in the first round.

Rodney Carney + Denver's 2007 1st round pick + Dallas's 2007 1st round pick + 2008 1st round pick + 2008 2nd round pick + 2009 first round pick + 2009 second round pick + cash for Bobcat's 1st round pick. Our 1st round pick will be first overall, Bobcat's 1st round pick will be 2nd overall. With those, we select both Oden and Durant. Put them together with Andre Iguodala, and our future will be set. I hope we get the second overall pick instead of the first. I like Durant more than Oden.

Even if we get #1, we can still get Durant. Anyways, I agree with you. Durant has been an absolute monster in college, but Oden hasn't really been dominating as we all expected. I understand that his hand is injured, but I feel that Durant is the safer pick. From what I have seen/read, Oden has really been struggling on offense. Plus, I have heard "experts" question his motivation. I still feel that Durant is the safer pick, but you definetly can't go wrong with Oden
