I was reading some Pacer fan comments off the Indy Star. THEY ARE FREAKING OUT and PISSED about losing Harrington. All are glad to see Jackson gone, but they felt the price was too, high for shipping him out. They also feel Jermaine O'neal might be next.
<div class="quote_poster">shapecity Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Al Harrington doesn't have a high basketball IQ. He's not the ideal player for running halfcourt sets and put in a position to make decisions with the basketball. However, in the open court game, Harrington can fill up the lanes and finish with the best of them. SJax has a bad reputation because of his off the court antics, but SJax is a talented player and underrated defender. He's very good at backing his defender in the post and scoring on him. He'll add a new dimension to the Warrior's offense. The Warriors can probably make the claim of having the most athletic team in the league. They are loaded with versatile forwards.</div> Good takes shape! We will have a super ATHLETIC team for Nellie and now he has the ATHLETIC mobile PF he wanted. I suppose SJax will play some SF when JRich comes back. I'll worry about his rep when he gets here. Maybe a change of scenery will do him good. Still, our NEW, IMPROVED front line will be MP, AB and AL. And SJax can play some SF and MP can backup PF. Wait! I'm forgetting about Sarunas (can't spell his last name yet). Nellie got Rooney 2! He will be the perimeter shooter that we have been lacking. But I haven't a clue about Powell. What's hard to believe is Indy really wanted Ike, Dunleavy and possibly Murphy when they were trying to deal Ron Artest. They'll be a real slow team now with Murfleavy. I'm still trying to get used to Indiana WARRIORS??? LOL. Maybe JO will come next because he's Al's friend. Wow. Pinch me. Am I dreaming?
<div class="quote_poster">Warriorfansnc93 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Tell them, we will be willing to take him off their hands for Beans, Jrich etc...</div> Then it would be the same players in different uniforms.

http://www.justbball.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65286 Not much buzz over on the Pacers' side of the board.

All we would have to do then is get Artest traded here from Sac...
Does anyone else wonder why the Warriors made this deal? They now have as thin a frontcourt as there is in the NBA
<div class="quote_poster">Schaddy Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Does anyone else wonder why the Warriors made this deal? Besides, who cares when you have Barnes, Pietrus, AZ, Zarko, Foyle and POB as your front court reserves! I would still take any of those players over Dunleavy/Murphy...
Wow. Talk about correcting a mistake with one swoop. And, Mullin was able to dump two least attractive contracts for somebody we can actually use. It's kinda bad that we will not see what Ike could have done with this club, but then he wasn't exactly working out for us, so it's not a terrible loss. In contract wise, we freed up roughly 5 mils for 08-09 offseason. Granted that Mullin may still have some work to do, but it's a nice start. In rebounding wise, we just traded Murphy for Harrington, Dunleavy for Jackson and gave away Diogu, so the worst rebounding team just got even worse. But then, Harrington is a type of player Nelson can definitely use as a PF, and Jackson desperately needed a change of scenary. Of course, if Jackson doesn't work out in here, we will have a nice paper weight for next 3.5 years. I don't know how much Nelson influenced this deal, if any, but the job well done for whoever responsible for this deal...
BTW, we played with 8 healthy bodies in last game. And, we traded 3 healthy bodies. Sooo... Do we invite some Clips fans to play for us?
<div class="quote_poster">Schaddy Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Does anyone else wonder why the Warriors made this deal? They now have as thin a frontcourt as there is in the NBA </div> Under Nellie's system, it won't matter. Barnes is still going to start at 4.
Warriors are now one of my favourite teams. I'm going to watch them as much as possible now. Mainly to see how Jax does. AL will love the Warriors system as well.
I'm glad that warriors got Sarunas. I think he will florish in Nely system, and I bet he will create good chemistry with Beans. Atm all I can say is "WoW" can't whait to see them in action.
well we picked up a guy named Major from the D League.... called up POB and Foyle will be available.... so there are your 3 healthy body replacements... could get ugly tonight if we have any foul trouble.
Like someone said earlier, this could be the funnest loss. I just hope the players that DO play are not distracted and can put on a show for their future teammates that they can play with just a couple of scrubs...
